Mathur Sri Bhagavathy Temple is located approximately 1.8 km south of Jyoti Junction, near Nedumudi, on the Alappuzha-Changanassery road in Alappuzha district.
This ancient temple, dedicated to Shree Bhadrakali, holds a history spanning centuries. Revered as the mother of Kuttanad, Shree Bhadrakali is worshipped as the all-powerful goddess, the protector of orphans, and the compassionate mother who bestows mercy upon her devotees.
The temple is also closely associated with the Mathur family of Nedumudi, renowned as the seat of Kathakali Acharyas.

ആലപ്പുഴ ജില്ലയിൽ, ആലപ്പുഴ-ചങ്ങനാശ്ശേരി റോഡിൽ നെടുമുടിക്ക് സമീപം ജ്യോതി ജംഗ്ഷനിൽ നിന്ന് ഏകദേശം 1.8 കിലോമീറ്റർ തെക്കായി സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന മാത്തൂർ ശ്രീ ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം ഒരു നൂറ്റാണ്ടുകളോളം പഴക്കമുള്ള പുരാതന ദേവാലയമാണ്. ശ്രീ ഭദ്രകാളിയാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠ.
