Pandankari Dharmashasta Temple is situated in close proximity to Edatwa in the Alappuzha district. It is recognized as one of the 108 Shasta temples found throughout Kerala.
This temple is known as Poovathurkavu in Thotampattu, which encompasses 108 Ayyappa temples. The form of Shasta venerated in this temple is Bala Swarupam.
The deities honored within the temple include Shiva, Ganapati, Bhadrakali, Yakshi, and the Nagas (serpents). The three-day Pandankari Dharmashasta temple festival culminates on Utram Nakshatra during the month of Kumbham.
കൊച്ചുശാസ്താ ക്ഷേത്രം പാണ്ടങ്കരി
ആലപ്പുഴ ജില്ലയിലെ എടത്വാക്ക് സമീപത്താണ് പാണ്ടങ്കരി ധർമ്മശാസ്താ ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്. കേരളത്തിലെ 108 ശാസ്താ ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിൽ ഇത് ഒരു പ്രധാന ക്ഷേത്രമാണ്. അയ്യപ്പക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളെ കുറിച്ച് പറയുന്ന തോറ്റംപാട്ടിൽ ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തെ പൂവറ്റൂർകാവ് എന്ന പേരിൽ പരാമർശിക്കുന്നു.
ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ആരാധിക്കുന്ന ശാസ്താവ് ബാല സ്വരൂപത്തിലാണ്. ശിവൻ, ഗണപതി, ഭദ്രകാളി, യക്ഷി, നാഗങ്ങൾ (സർപ്പം) എന്നിവയാണ് ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ ഉപദേവതകൾ.
മൂന്ന് ദിവസത്തെ പാണ്ടങ്കരി ധർമ്മശാസ്താ ക്ഷേത്രോത്സവം കുംഭമാസത്തിലെ ഉത്രം നക്ഷത്രത്തിൽ സമാപിക്കുന്നു.
