Thrikkayil Sri Narasimhamurthy Temple is an ancient site situated 1.5 kilometers from Thalavadi in the Alappuzha district. This temple is dedicated to Sri Narasimhamurthy.
The sub-deities include Sri Parameswaran, Ganapati, Ayyappan, Rakshass, and Yakshiamma, each of whom has their own kovils. Among the Dasha avatars of Lord Vishnu, the Narasimha avatar holds significant importance. This incarnation is characterized by a lion's face and a human body. Narasimha is recognized as the final incarnation of the Lord during Kritayuga. Despite being a fierce form that emerged to vanquish foes, Narasimha Murthy is known for quickly granting the wishes of his devotees.
When Prahlada responded to the call, the pillar split open, revealing Narasimha Murthy. The challenges associated with career and marriage, along with the attainment of Abhishtasiddhi, can be alleviated through sincere prayers offered with a pure heart and devotion at Narasimhamurthy temples, particularly by lighting a Gheelamp. Additionally, the offering of Tulasimala holds significant importance. The Ishtapuspam is represented by a red chetti, while the nivedya consists of payasam. By praying to the Lord on Chothinakshatra, which corresponds to the day of Vayudeva within the panchabhutas, one can mitigate potential dangers.
It is advisable to visit the Narasimha Temple regularly on Chhotinakshatra or to engage in devotional bhajans dedicated to Narasimha Murthy at home to alleviate debts and ensure the family's prosperity. Thiruvonam occurs in the month of Chingam, followed by Vinayaka Chaturthi and Ashtamirohini.
In the month of Thulam, Pujavayppu is celebrated, while Vidyaramba and Ayilyampuja take place in Kanni. The Mandala period is observed in Vruschikam, and Panthrand Vilakku, Makaravilakku Mahotsava, and Shivaratri are significant events in Kumbham. Thiruvathira is celebrated in Dhanu, and Vishukani marks the beginning of Medam. Additionally, Bhagavata Sapthaham and the month of Ramayana are observed in Karkitaka. These are notable special days.

ആലപ്പുഴ ജില്ലയിലെ തലവടിയിൽ നിന്ന് 1.5 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു പുരാതന ക്ഷേത്രമാണ് തൃക്കയിൽ ശ്രീ നരസിംഹമൂർത്തി ക്ഷേത്രം. ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം ശ്രീ നരസിംഹമൂർത്തിക്ക് സമർപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ഉപദേവന്മാരായ ശ്രീ പരമേശ്വരൻ, ഗണപതി, അയ്യപ്പൻ, രക്ഷസ്സ്, യക്ഷിയമ്മ എന്നിവർക്കായി പ്രത്യേക നടകൾ ഒരുക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
മഹാവിഷ്ണുവിന്റെ ദശാവതാരങ്ങളിൽ നരസിംഹാവതാരം ഏറ്റവും പ്രധാനമാണ്. ഈ അവതാരത്തിന്റെ പ്രത്യേകത സിംഹത്തിന്റെ മുഖവും മനുഷ്യന്റെ ശരീരവും ആണ്. കൃതായുഗത്തിലെ ഭഗവാന്റെ നാല് അവതാരങ്ങളിൽ നരസിംഹാവതാരം അവസാനത്തെയാണ്. ശത്രുക്കളെ നശിപ്പിക്കാൻ ഉഗ്രമൂർത്തിയാകുമ്പോഴും, ഭക്തന്മാർക്കിടയിൽ നരസിംഹമൂർത്തി ക്ഷിപ്രപ്രസാദമായാണ് അറിയപ്പെടുന്നത്. പ്രഹ്ലാദന്റെ വിളി കേട്ട നിമിഷത്തിൽ തന്നെ നരസിംഹമൂർത്തി പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു. നരസിംഹമൂർത്തി ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിൽ മനഃശുദ്ധിയും ഭക്തിയും കൊണ്ട് നെയ്വിളക്ക് കത്തിച്ചാൽ അഭിഷ്ടസിദ്ധി ലഭിക്കുകയും തൊഴിൽ, വിവാഹ തടസ്സങ്ങൾ നീങ്ങുകയും ചെയ്യും.
