Udupi Sri Krishna Temple, situated in the Alappuzha district, is dedicated to Lord Krishna.

It is widely believed that the revered Hindu deity Guruvayoorappan visits this sacred site daily to partake in the delectable offerings prepared by the temple priests and staff.
These offerings consist of a local delicacy known as 'Payasam,' which is a thick rice pudding made from rice, milk, and sugar, and is exceptionally delightful. Visitors can partake in the vibrant Aaraattu festival, one of the temple's most remarkable events, featuring the stunning idol of Lord Krishna, intricately carved from granite and deep black in hue.
The idol's radiant beauty captivates the heart, inviting contemplation and appreciation of its tranquil presence. ആലപ്പുഴ ജില്ലയിൽ തൊണ്ടൻകുളങ്ങരയിൽ നിന്നും കൈചൂണ്ടി ജംഗ്ഷനിലേക്ക് പോകുന്ന വഴിയിൽ റോഡിന്റെ പടിഞ്ഞാറ് ഭാഗത്ത് ഉഡുപ്പി ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണ ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു. തൊണ്ടൻകുളങ്ങര മഹാദേവക്ഷേത്രത്തിന് സമീപമാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം. പുരാതന ഐതിഹ്യങ്ങളുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട ആകർഷണീയമായ, മനോഹരമായ ഒരു ക്ഷേത്രമാണ് ഉഡുപ്പി ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണ ക്ഷേത്രം. ആലപ്പുഴയിലെ പ്രശസ്തമായ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണ ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നായ ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം സന്ദർശിക്കാൻ അനിവാര്യമായ ഒരു ആരാധനാലയമാണ്.
ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പൂജാരിമാർ ചേർന്ന് ഒരുക്കുന്ന രുചികരമായ നിവേദ്യം കഴിക്കാൻ, സാക്ഷാൽ ഗുരുവായൂരപ്പൻ എല്ലാ ദിവസവും ഈ പുണ്യസ്ഥലത്ത് എത്തുമെന്നു വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു. അരി, പാൽ, പഞ്ചസാര എന്നിവ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് പാചകം ചെയ്യുന്ന 'പാൽ പായസം' ഇവിടെ ലഭ്യമായ ഒരു പ്രത്യേക രുചിയാണ്. കർണാടക ഉഡുപ്പി ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണസ്വാമി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ ഉപക്ഷമാണ് ഇത്. ഇപ്പോൾ ഉഡുപ്പി ക്ഷേത്രം അഷ്ടമഠങ്ങളുടെ നിയന്ത്രണത്തിലാണെന്ന് പറയാം. പേജാവർ, പുത്തിഗെ, പലിമരു, അഡമരു, സോധെ, കണിയൂർ, ഷിരൂർ, കൃഷ്ണപുര എന്നീ എട്ട് മഠങ്ങൾ ഇതിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു.
വിശ്വാസികളിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ഭണ്ഡാര വരുമാനവും അഷ്ടമഠങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നുള്ള സാമ്പത്തിക സഹായവുമാണ് ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ ചെലവുകൾ കൃത്യമായി നികത്തുന്നത്. മകര സംക്രാന്തി, രഥ സപ്തമി, മാധവ നവമി, ഹനുമാൻ ജയന്തി, ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണ ജന്മാഷ്ടമി, നവരാത്രി മഹോത്സവം, ദസറ, നരകചതുർദശി, ദീപാവലി, ഗീതാജയന്തി എന്നിവയാണ് പ്രധാന ആഘോഷങ്ങൾ.
