Anchumana Sree Bhagavathy Temple is located in Anchumana at Padivattam, Edappally, Ernakulam. The temple is dedicated to three main deities—Sri Bhuvaneswari, Sri Annapoorneswari, and Sri Bhadrakali—who are worshipped with equal importance.
Sri Bhuvaneswari is revered as the mother of the universe and a symbol of prosperity, while Sri Annapoorneswari is the goddess of nourishment and is worshipped for a happy and long married life. Sri Bhadrakali, referred to in the Vedas as time itself, is in her natural fierce form ("Roudra") and is believed to dispel all negative energies, purifying the minds of devotees.
The temple also houses several sub-deities, including Lord Ayyappa, Lord Ganapathy, Lord Subramanya, Guru, Hanuman, Hidumba, Bhrahmarakshas, Khandakarna, Nagadevathas, and Arukola.
Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays are considered special days for worship. The temple’s most important event is "Para Purappadu," observed on the first day of the Malayalam month of Vrischikam. It is believed that the goddess, in the form of Sri Bhuvaneswari, visits her devotees during this time. Devotees welcome the goddess with "Para," an offering of paddy, flowers, and fruits as per tradition.
This grand event concludes with the five-day Thalapoli Mahotsavam.Additionally, the first day of Chingam is significant at the temple. During Navaratri, students place their books before Goddess Saraswathi for blessings. Another major tradition is "Parayeduppu," which lasts 41 days, beginning in Vrischikam and culminating in the five-day Thalapoli Mahotsavam, attracting devotees from nearby villages seeking the goddess’s blessings.
അഞ്ചുമന ശ്രീ ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം
കൊച്ചി കോർപ്പറേഷൻ പരിധിയിലെ ഇടപ്പള്ളി പാടിവട്ടത്താണ് അഞ്ചുമന ശ്രീ ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ പ്രധാന ദേവതകളായി ശ്രീ ഭുവനേശ്വരി, ശ്രീ അന്നപൂർണേശ്വരി, ശ്രീ ഭദ്രകാളി എന്നിവയെ ആരാധിക്കുന്നു. അയ്യപ്പൻ, ഗണപതി, സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യൻ, ഹനുമാൻ, ഹിഡുംബൻ, ബ്രഹ്മരക്ഷസ്, ഖണ്ഡകാരണസ്വാമി, നാഗദേവത എന്നിവയാണ് ഉപദേവതകൾ.ആദ്യകാലത്ത് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം റോയൽ നമ്പൂതിരി കുടുംബത്തിൻ്റെ ഉടമസ്ഥതയിലായിരുന്നു.
പിന്നീട് അവരുടെ സാമ്രാജ്യം ക്ഷയിച്ചതോടെ വിശ്വകർമ്മ സൊസൈറ്റിക്ക് ഉടമസ്ഥാവകാശം നൽകുകയും ഇപ്പോൾ അഞ്ചുമന വിശ്വകർമ്മ ധർമ്മധാരണ സമാജം ട്രസ്റ്റിയായി ക്ഷേത്രഭരണ ചുമതല ഏറ്റെടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. വിവാഹത്തിൽ തടസ്സങ്ങളുള്ള പെൺകുട്ടികൾക്കായി എല്ലാ തിങ്കളാഴ്ചയും അന്നപൂർണേശ്വരിക്ക് മുന്നിൽ വിവാഹസുക്ത പുഷ്പാഞ്ജലി നടത്തുന്നു. ജീവിതത്തിലെ വിവിധ പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾക്കുള്ള ശാന്തിയ്ക്കായി എല്ലാ ചൊവ്വാഴ്ചയും വെള്ളിയാഴ്ചയും ഞായറാഴ്ചയും ഗുരുതി പുഷ്പാഞ്ജലി നടത്തുന്നു.
ചിങ്ങം ഒന്നിന് മലയാള പുതുവത്സര ദിനാഘോഷമായി ഭക്തർ നിരയുടെ ഇലകൾ സമർപ്പിക്കുന്നു. സമ്പന്നതക്കും ജീവിതത്തിനുമുള്ള ദൈവാനുഗ്രഹത്തിൻ്റെ പ്രതീകമാണിതെന്ന് വിശ്വസിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. എല്ലാ വെള്ളിയാഴ്ചയും ഭുവനേശ്വരി ദേവിയുടെ മുന്നിൽ ഭക്തജന പ്രാർത്ഥന നടത്തുന്നു. എല്ലാ ചൊവ്വാഴ്ചയും വെള്ളിയാഴ്ചയും ഭക്തർ ശ്രീ ലളിത സഹസ്രനാമ സ്തോത്രം ജപിക്കുന്നു. മാസത്തിലെ എല്ലാ അവസാന ചൊവ്വാഴ്ചയും താന്ത്രി പൂജയും നവരാത്രി ഉത്സവ വേളയിൽ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾ പുസ്തകങ്ങൾ സരസ്വതി ദേവിയുടെ മുൻപിൽ വെച്ചു പൂജ നടത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
വൃശ്ചികോത്സവത്തോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് 41 ദിവസത്തെ പറയെടുപ്പ് നടക്കുന്നു. വൃശ്ചികം ആരംഭിച്ച് അഞ്ച് ദിവസത്തെ താലപ്പൊലി മഹോത്സവം വിപുലമായി ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നു. താലപ്പൊലി മഹോത്സവത്തിന് ശേഷം ക്ഷേത്രം ഏഴു ദിവസത്തേക്ക് അടച്ചിടുകയും തുടർന്ന് പ്രത്യേക പൂജകൾക്ക് ശേഷം വീണ്ടും തുറക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
ശ്രീ അയ്യപ്പസ്വാമിയുടെ ജന്മനാളായ എല്ലാ ഉത്രം നാളിലും പഞ്ചദ്രവ്യ അഭിഷേകം, ശുക്ല ഷഷ്ഠി ദിനങ്ങളിൽ ശ്രീ സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യസ്വാമിക്ക് പ്രത്യേക പൂജകൾ, എല്ലാ അയില്യം നാളിലും നാഗദേവതക്ക് നൂറും പാലും സമർപ്പണം, എല്ലാ പൗർണ്ണമിയിലും ഹനുമാൻസ്വാമിക്ക് പ്രത്യേക പ്രാർത്ഥനകളും പൂജകളും നടന്നു വരുന്നു.
തുലാം മാസത്തിലെ അവസാന ദിവസം വിശേഷമായ പൂജകളും പ്രാർത്ഥനകളും നടത്തുന്നു. ചിങ്ങം, നവരാത്രി, തുലാശഷ്ഠി, വൃശ്ചികം, മണ്ഡലകാലം, മകര ചൊവ്വ, കുംഭം, മീനം, ഋഷി പഞ്ചമി എന്നീ ഉത്സവങ്ങൾ ഭക്തിനിർഭരമായി ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നു. മണ്ഡലകാല ഉത്സവത്തിൽ അഞ്ച് ദിവസത്തെ താലപ്പൊലി ഉത്സവം വിപുലമായി ആഘോഷിക്കപ്പെടുകയും അവസാന ദിവസം അഞ്ച് ആനകളുടെ ഘോഷയാത്രയോടെ ഉത്സവം സമാപിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
