Kothakulangara Sree Bhagavathy Temple Angamaly Ernakulam

The temple follows traditional rituals with three daily poojas and Shiveli, and the tantric rights are held by Matappally Mana. The sub-deities worshipped here include Lord Ganapati, Lord Shiva, and Lord Sastha. The temple's grand eight-day festival is celebrated in the Malayalam month of Makaram, beginning with Thrikkodiyett, the ceremonial flag hoisting, which marks the commencement of the Thiru Ulsavam.

The festivities include the lighting of the Valiya Vilakku, signifying the divine presence, and culminate in the Arattu procession and Ulsavabali, where devotees offer prayers and special rituals, creating a deeply spiritual and vibrant atmosphere. Goddess Durga, the presiding deity, is worshipped as a powerful divine force representing protection, strength, and motherhood, embodying the destruction of evil and the preservation of righteousness. The temple also hosts the Ayyappan Vilakku Maholsavam, an important festival dedicated to Lord Ayyappa. During this occasion, devotees participate in rituals such as Sastham Pattu and Azhi Pooja, seeking his divine blessings for prosperity and well-being.

കോതകുളങ്ങര ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം, അങ്കമാലി

എറണാകുളം ജില്ലയിലെ അങ്കമാലി ടൗണിൽ നിന്ന് ഏകദേശം 1.5 കിലോമീറ്റർ വടക്കുഭാഗത്ത്, നാഷണൽ ഹൈവേയ്ക്ക് സമീപമുള്ള അമ്പലപ്പടി സ്റ്റോപ്പിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന അതിപുരാതന ദേവീക്ഷേത്രമാണ് കോതകുളങ്ങര ശ്രീ ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ പ്രധാന പ്രതിഷ്ഠ ദുർഗ്ഗാദേവിയാണ്, ഇവർ പടിഞ്ഞാറോട്ട് ദർശനം നൽകി ഭക്തർക്കു കൃപാഭിഷേകം നൽകുന്നു. കേരളത്തിലെ 108 ദുർഗ്ഗക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നായ ഈ മഹാക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ മൂന്ന് നിത്യപൂജകളും ശീവേലിയുമുണ്ട്.

ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ഉപദേവതകളായി ഗണപതി, ശിവൻ, ശാസ്താവ് എന്നിവരെ ആരാധിക്കുന്നു. മകരമാസത്തിലെ ഭരണി നാളിൽ കൊടിയേറ്റ് ആരംഭിക്കുന്ന എട്ടുദിവസത്തെ ഉത്സവം ഭക്തിസാന്ദ്രമായ ചടങ്ങുകളോടെയാണ് ആഘോഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നത്. ചരിത്രപരമായി പഴയ ആലങ്ങാട് രാജ്യത്തിൻ്റെ ഭാഗമായിരുന്ന കോതകുളങ്ങര ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ ഭരണപരിപാലനം ഇന്ന് തിരുവിതാംകൂർ ദേവസ്വം ബോർഡാണ് നിർവഹിക്കുന്നത്.
