Eloor Naranath Sri Krishnaswamy Temple is an ancient Hindu temple located along National Highway 966A in Ernakulam district, approximately 4 km from Cheranellore.
The temple is renowned for its unique belief that couples who visit and tie a cradle in the hall in front of the shrine on Thiruvonam day each month will be blessed with a child by the following year. This historic temple, managed by the Travancore Devaswom Board, is believed to have been constructed between the 14th and 15th centuries.
Dedicated to Chaturbahu Narayanan, the temple holds a deep-rooted legend stating that the black stone idol was installed by Naranath Bhranthan, a legendary sage known for his divine madness. It is also believed that the Ambalapuzha Sree Krishna Temple and its surrounding structures were built by Naranath Bhranthan around the same period. The temple offers several traditional rituals, including Thrikaivenna, Vishnu Pooja, Kalabhabhishekam, Muzhukkappu, Pattucharthal, Kadalippazham, Unniyappam, Pal Payasam Nivedyam, and Thulasi Mala.
Devotees follow a ritualistic order before worshipping the presiding deity, first bowing before the deities Ayyappan, Nagaraja, Nagayakshi, and the Navagrahas at the Thozhan Nalambalam. Inside the Nalambalam, devotees perform four pradakshinas (circumambulations) within the Ganapati temple.
Prasada Oottu is held on the fourth Thiruvonam of each month. Other major festivals include Thiruvonam, Ashtamirohini in the month of Chingam, Mandalakalam in Vrischikam, and Prathishta Day in Midhunam. The temple festival begins with the ceremonial flag hoisting (Kodiyettam) ten days prior, on the sixth day of Rohini in the month of Meenam.

എറണാകുളം ജില്ലയിലെ ദേശീയപാത 966 A യിൽ, ചേരാനെല്ലൂരിൽ നിന്ന് 4 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെയും കളമശ്ശേരിയിൽ നിന്ന് 9.2 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെയുമുള്ള ഏലൂർ നാറാണത്ത് ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണസ്വാമി ക്ഷേത്രം ഒരു മഹാപുരാതന ദേവീക്ഷേത്രമാണ്. ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ പ്രത്യേകത, നാറാണത്തമ്പലത്തിൽ ദർശനം നടത്തിയ ശേഷം ക്ഷേത്ര ശ്രീകോവിലിന് മുന്നിലെ മണ്ഡപത്തിൽ ഒരു തൊട്ടിൽ കെട്ടിയാൽ ദമ്പതികൾക്ക് അടുത്ത വർഷം ഒരു സന്താനപ്രാപ്തിയുണ്ടാകുമെന്ന വിശ്വാസമാണ്.
തിരുവിതാംകൂർ ദേവസ്വത്തിന് കീഴിൽ വരുന്ന ഏലൂർ നാറാണത്ത് ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണസ്വാമി ക്ഷേത്രം ഒരു പ്രധാന ക്ഷേത്രമാണ്. ഈ മഹാക്ഷേത്രം 14-15-ാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടുകൾക്കിടയിൽ നിർമ്മിച്ചതാണെന്ന് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു. ചതുർബാഹു നാരായണനാണ് ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന പ്രതിഷ്ഠ. കൃഷ്ണശിലയിൽ നിർമ്മിച്ച ഈ ദേവതാവിഗ്രഹം നാറാണത്ത് ഭ്രാന്തൻ തന്നെയാണ് പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചതെന്ന് ഐതിഹ്യം പറയുന്നു. അമ്പലപ്പുഴ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പാർത്ഥസാരഥിയെയും നാറാണത്ത് ഭ്രാന്തനാണ് പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചത് എന്ന വിശ്വാസവും നിലനില്ക്കുന്നു.
ക്ഷേത്ര ദർശനസമയം രാവിലെ 5:00 മുതൽ 11:00 വരെ, വൈകിട്ട് 5:00 മുതൽ 8:00 വരെ ആണെന്നത് ഭക്തർക്കായി നിർദ്ദേശിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. സന്താനപ്രാപ്തിയില്ലാത്ത ദമ്പതികൾ തൊട്ടിൽ കെട്ടിയതിന്റെ ശേഷം, സന്താനലാഭം കിട്ടിയാൽ ചോറൂൺ, തുലാഭാരം തുടങ്ങിയ വഴിപാടുകൾ നേർച്ചയിടുകയും, അടുത്ത വർഷം തന്നെ അതിനുള്ള ഭാഗ്യം ലഭിച്ച ഭക്തജനങ്ങളുടെ അനവധി അനുഭവങ്ങളാണിതിന് തെളിവായി നിലകൊള്ളുന്നത്.
പ്രധാന വഴിപാടുകൾ തൃക്കൈവെണ്ണ, വിഷ്ണുപൂജ, കളഭാഭിഷേകം, മുഴുക്കാപ്പ്, പട്ടുചാർത്തൽ, കദളിപ്പഴം, ഉണ്ണിയപ്പം, പാൽ പായസനിവേദ്യം, തുളസിമാല എന്നിവ പ്രധാനമാണ്. കിഴക്കോട്ട് ദർശനമേകുന്ന ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണനെ തൊഴുന്നതിന് മുൻപായി ഉപദേവതകളായ അയ്യപ്പൻ, നാഗരാജാവ്, നാഗയക്ഷി, നവഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ എന്നിവരെ ആദരിച്ച് വണങ്ങുന്നതാണ് ആചാരപരമായ രീതി. പ്രതിമാസം തിരുവോണം നാളിൽ പ്രസാദ ഊട്ട്, ചിങ്ങമാസത്തിലെ തിരുവോണം, അഷ്ടമിരോഹിണി, വൃശ്ചികമാസത്തിലെ മണ്ഡലകാലം, മിഥുനമാസത്തിലെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠാ ദിനം എന്നിവ പ്രധാന വിശേഷ ദിവസങ്ങളാണ്. മീനമാസത്തിലെ രോഹിണി നാളിൽ ആറാട്ടിനായി പത്ത് ദിവസം മുമ്പ് ഉത്സവ കൊടിയേറുന്നു.
