Paramara Devi Temple Kacheripady Ernakulam

This centuries-old temple, situated near the Town Hall and Ernakulam North Railway Station, is one of the very few Bhadrakali temples that face north. Locally, it is also known as Parambanar Kulangara Bhagawati and Paramara Mutthi.Paramara Devi is believed to be an incarnation of Kodungallooramma, the presiding deity of Kodungallur Bhagavathy Temple, which holds a revered place among Kali temples in Kerala.

According to Vedic tradition, Goddess Kali, when facing north, manifests in her fierce and powerful form known as Kodum Kali, symbolizing her supreme strength and divine energy. Apart from the main deity, Bhadrakali, the temple also houses sub-deities including Lord Mahavishnu, Lord Shiva, Lord Ayyappa, Brahmarakshas, Nagaraja, Nagayakshi, and Alunkal Bhagawathi. Due to its central location in the bustling metro city, the temple is easily accessible to devotees. The temple remains open to the public every day with visiting hours from 5:00 AM to 10:30 AM in the morning and from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the evening.

പരമാരദേവി ക്ഷേത്രം

എറണാകുളം നോർത്ത് റെയിൽവേ മേൽപ്പാലത്തിനോട് ചേർന്നുള്ള ടൗൺഹാളിന് എതിർവശത്തായാണ് പരമാര ദേവി ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്. വടക്കോട്ട് ദർശനമുള്ള ദേവി ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങൾ കേരളത്തിൽ അപൂർവമാണ്. അതിപുരാതനമായ ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ഉഗ്രപ്രതാപിണിയായ ശ്രീ ഭദ്രകാളി വടക്കോട്ട് ദർശനം നൽകുന്നു എന്നത് പ്രത്യേകതയാണ്. രക്തബീജാസുരവധത്തിനായി ശ്രീമഹാദേവന്റെ തിരുനേത്രത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ഉത്ഭവിച്ച ഭദ്രകാളി വടക്കോട്ട് ഇരുന്നാൽ അതിന്റെ ഉഗ്രത ഇരട്ടിയാകുമെന്ന് വൈദിക വിശ്വാസം പറയുന്നു.

പ്രധാന പ്രതിഷ്ഠയായ ശ്രീ ഭദ്രകാളിയോടൊപ്പം ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ശ്രീ മഹാവിഷ്ണു, ശ്രീ ഗണപതി, ശ്രീ അയ്യപ്പൻ, ശ്രീ ശിവൻ, ബ്രഹ്മരക്ഷസ്, നാഗരാജാവ്, നാഗയക്ഷി, ആലുങ്കൽ ഭഗവതി എന്നിവയും ഉപദേവതകളായി ആരാധിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.വർഷംതോറും കുംഭമാസത്തിൽ ഒരുക്കുന്ന താലപ്പൊലി മഹോത്സവം ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ആഘോഷമാണ്. ഈ മഹോത്സവത്തിനായി നാടിന്റെ വിവിധ ഭാഗങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് ഭക്തജനങ്ങൾ വലിയ തോതിൽ എത്തിച്ചേരുന്നു.
