Pralayakkattu Mahavishnu Temple is situated 8 kilometers from Perumbavoor Kuruppampadi, accessible via Vengur, in the Ernakulam district.
This site features two neighboring temples: one dedicated to Vishnu and the other to Mahadeva. Lord Vishnu is worshipped here in three forms: in the morning as Lord Vishnu, in the afternoon as Lord Narasimha, and in the evening as Lord Krishna.
Historically, Pralayakkad was part of the erstwhile princely state of Vadavur, which is believed to have been associated with the goddess of the royal lineage. Arattu festival takes place during Karutthavavu in the month of Menam, featuring an Ezhunnallippu procession for both deities. During this time, the local goddesses gather and ascend together. Additionally, Prasad Oottu is conducted every Thiruvonam. Outside the temple precincts, the Bhagwati deity is enshrined.

എറണാകുളം ജില്ലയിലെ പെരുമ്പാവൂരിൽ നിന്ന് 8 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെയുള്ള കുറുപ്പംപടി വേങ്ങൂർ വഴി പോമ്പോൾ എത്തുന്നത് പ്രളയക്കാട് മഹാവിഷ്ണു ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലേക്ക് ആണ്. പ്രധാന റോഡിൽ നിന്ന് ഏകദേശം 400 മീറ്റർ അകലെയുള്ള ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം, ശുദ്ധമായ, മനോഹരമായ, സമാധാനപരമായ വയലേലയിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു, അന്തരീക്ഷ മലിനീകരണം ഇല്ലാത്ത ഒരു സ്ഥലമാണ്. ഇവിടെ അടുത്തടുത്തായി ഒരു വിഷ്ണു ക്ഷേത്രവും, ഒരു മഹാദേവ ക്ഷേത്രവും സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു.
മഹാവിഷ്ണു ഇവിടെ മൂന്ന് രൂപങ്ങളിൽ ആരാധിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു: രാവിലെ മഹാവിഷ്ണു, ഉച്ചക്ക് നരസിംഹൻ, വൈകിട്ട് ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണൻ എന്നിങ്ങനെ. പണ്ടുകാലത്ത് വടവൂർ എന്ന നാട്ടുരാജ്യത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമായിരുന്നു പ്രളയക്കാട്, വടവൂർ രാജകുടുംബത്തിന്റെ പരദേവതയായി ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. മീനത്തിലെ കറുത്തവാവിന് ആറാട്ട് നടക്കുന്നു.. ഉത്സവത്തിനായി രണ്ട് ദേവന്മാരുടെ എഴുന്നള്ളിപ്പ് ഉണ്ട്. എല്ലാ തിരുവോണനാളിലും പ്രസാദം ഊട്ട് ചെയ്യപ്പെടുന്നു. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ മതിൽക്കെട്ടിന് പുറത്തു ഭഗവതി ഉപദേവതയായി നിലകൊള്ളുന്നു.
