കൊച്ചി തോപ്പുംപടിയിൽ നിന്ന് 1.3 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെ, കരുവേലിപ്പടിയിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന പുരാതന ക്ഷേത്രമാണ് മുതലിയാർഭാഗം രാമേശ്വരം മഹാദേവ ക്ഷേത്രം. ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൻറെ വാസ്തുശില്പം ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചാൽ തമിഴ്നാട്ടിലെ പ്രശസ്തമായ രാമേശ്വരം ക്ഷേത്രവുമായി സാമ്യമുള്ളതായി കാണാം. മുതലിയാർഭാഗം രാമേശ്വരം ക്ഷേത്രം തമിഴ് സംസാരിക്കുന്ന വെള്ളാളപിള്ള സമുദായത്തിൻറെ ഉടമസ്ഥതയിലായിരുന്നു.
