Thiru Ayini shiva Temple Maradu Ernakulam

The temple celebrates its annual festival (Ulsavam) on the Uthrittathi star of the Malayalam month of Makaram. The grand festival lasts for eight days, starting from Uthrittathi and concluding on Thiruvathira.

It is believed that during the festival, the spiritual energy of the temple intensifies through the various rituals, sacrifices, and purifications performed. This divine presence spreads from the idol to the sanctum sanctorum, the enclosures, the temple walls, and further into the surrounding village, blessing the entire region.

The festival features various sacred ceremonies, including the annual sprouting of new grains, anointing rituals, and the grand procession, which marks the spiritual significance of the event. The celebrations commence with the ceremonial flag hoisting and culminate with the Arattu, a sacred bathing ritual, signifying the conclusion of the festival.

മരട് തിരു അയിനി ശിവക്ഷേത്രം

എറണാകുളം ജില്ലയിലെ മരടിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന പ്രശസ്തമായ ശിവക്ഷേത്രമാണ് തിരു ആയിനി ശിവക്ഷേത്രം. ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ ശിവലിംഗം സ്വയംഭൂവാണ്. പേട്ട ബസ് സ്റ്റോപ്പിൽ നിന്ന് ഏകദേശം 1 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെ ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു. ക്ഷേത്രോത്സവം ആണ്ടുതോറും മലയാളമാസം മകരത്തിലെ ഉത്രട്ടാതി മുതൽ തിരുവാതിരവരെയുള്ള 8 ദിവസങ്ങളിലായി വിപുലമായ ആഘോഷങ്ങളോടെ നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ എല്ലാ ആചാരങ്ങളും ചടങ്ങുകളും പുലിയന്നൂർ അനിയൻ തിരുമേനിയുടെയുടെയും കല്ലമ്പിള്ളിൽ പരമേശ്വരൻ നമ്പൂതിരിയുടെയും മുഖ്യ കാർമികത്വത്തിലാണ് നടപ്പിലാക്കുന്നത്.

പ്രതിവർഷം ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിൽ ഉത്സവങ്ങൾ ആഘോഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതുപോലെ, ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലും നവധാന്യങ്ങൾ മുളപ്പിക്കുന്നതിൽ നിന്ന് ആരംഭിച്ച് തത്ത്വകലശാഭിഷേകം നടത്തി നട അടച്ച്, നിശ്ചിത സമയത്തിന് ശേഷം നട തുറക്കുന്നതുവരെ വിശുദ്ധ ചടങ്ങുകൾ ആചരിക്കുന്നു. കൊടിയേറ്റം മുതൽ ആറാട്ട് വരെ നിരവധി ആചാരങ്ങളും പൂജകളും നടന്നു, ഭക്തജനങ്ങൾക്ക് അനുഗ്രഹസമ്പന്നമായ ഒരു ദർശനം നൽകുന്നതാണ് ഈ ഉത്സവത്തിൻറെ പ്രധാന സവിശേഷത.
