Thuruthy Sree Bhagavathy Temple, located near Thripunithura in Maradu, Ernakulam district, is an ancient and revered temple dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathy.
Situated just 800 meters from Thripunithura Junction, the temple holds great significance among devotees.
The Prathishta day of Bhagavathy is celebrated on the Choti star in the month of Midhunam, while the annual temple festival, lasting for seven days, takes place in the Malayalam month of Meenam.
As a temple dedicated to the Goddess, all significant days associated with Bhagavathy are observed with devotion, with the Navratri celebration being the most prominent. A major spiritual event at the temple is the Sri Chakra Pooja (Sri Rajarajeswari Pooja), conducted annually in the month of Karkidakam. Since ancient times, the Goddess has been worshipped in various forms as the embodiment of prosperity, wealth, unity, and peace. During the Sri Chakra Pooja, Sree Bhagavathy is invoked into the Sri Chakra, which is infused with Shiva Chaithanyam, and worshipped with mantra chanting and devotional offerings, transforming into Goddess Rajarajeswari.
Devotees from across the country participate in the Sri Chakra Pooja, seeking auspiciousness, family prosperity, and the blessings of the Goddess. As the divine queen of all deities, Bhagavathy is worshipped with powerful ascetic mantras. തുരുത്തി ശ്രീ ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം, മരട്
തൃപ്പൂണിത്തുറയ്ക്ക് സമീപം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന തുരുത്തി ശ്രീ ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം വളരെ പുരാതനമായ ഒരു ക്ഷേത്രമാണ്. തൃപ്പൂണിത്തുറ ജംഗ്ഷനിൽ നിന്ന് 800 മീറ്റർ അകലെ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം ഭക്തജനങ്ങൾക്ക് ഏറെ പ്രസിദ്ധമാണ്.
മിഥുനമാസത്തിലെ ചോതി നക്ഷത്രത്തിലാണ് ഭഗവതിയുടെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠാദിനം. ഏഴുദിവസം നീണ്ടുനിൽക്കുന്ന മഹോത്സവം മലയാളമാസം മീനത്തിലാണ് ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നത്. ദേവീ പ്രതിഷ്ഠയുള്ള ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ഭഗവതിയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട എല്ലാ വിശേഷ ദിവസങ്ങളും പ്രത്യേകമായി ആചരിക്കുന്നു.
അതിൽ ഏറ്റവും പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ടതും ഭക്തജനങ്ങൾക്ക് ഏറെ പ്രിയപ്പെട്ടതുമായത് നവരാത്രി മഹോത്സവമാണ്. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ ഒരു പ്രധാന ആചാരമാണ് കർക്കടകമാസത്തിൽ ആണ്ടുതോറും നടത്തപ്പെടുന്ന ശ്രീചക്രപൂജ (ശ്രീ രാജരാജേശ്വരി പൂജ). ഐശ്വര്യത്തിൻ്റെയും സമ്പദ് സമൃദ്ധിയുടെയും ഐക്യത്തിൻ്റെയും സമാധാനത്തിൻ്റെയും പ്രതീകമായി മാതാവിനെ വേദകാലഘട്ടം മുതൽ വിവിധ രൂപങ്ങളിൽ ആരാധിക്കാറുണ്ട്. തുരുത്തി ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ നടത്തുന്ന ശ്രീചക്രപൂജ ഈ ആചാരപരമ്പരയുടെ ഭാഗമാണ്.
ശിവചൈത്യന്യം നിറഞ്ഞ ശ്രീചക്രത്തിലേക്ക് ഭഗവതിയെ ആചാരാനുസൃതമായി ആവാഹിച്ച ശേഷം മന്ത്രജപം, കീർത്തനം എന്നിവയുടെ കൂടെ പൂജകൾ സമർപ്പിച്ച് ദേവിയെ രാജരാജേശ്വരിയായി പരിലസിക്കുന്ന പുണ്യമുഹൂർത്തത്തിൽ ദർശനം ചെയ്യുന്നത് സർവാഭീഷ്ടപ്രദായകം ആണ്.കുടുംബ ഐശ്വര്യത്തിനും അഭീഷ്ടസിദ്ധിക്കും വേണ്ടി ശ്രീചക്രപൂജയിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കുന്നതിനായി നാടിൻറെ നാനാഭാഗങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് അനവധി ഭക്തജനങ്ങൾ ക്ഷേത്രസന്നിധിയിൽ എത്തിച്ചേരുന്നു. ഓരോ ഭക്തന്റെയും നാമനക്ഷത്രത്തിൽ പ്രത്യേക അർച്ചനകൾ നടത്തുന്നത് ദേഹദുരിതശമനത്തിനും സർവ്വകാര്യവിജയത്തിനും വിദ്യാഭിവൃദ്ധിക്കും സമ്പദ് സമൃദ്ധിക്കും ഐക്യത്തിനും ഉത്തമമാകുമെന്ന് വിശ്വാസം.
