Anachal Sri Dharmashasta Temple is situated 13 kilometers from Munnar and 3.6 kilometers from Chithirapuram, within the Idukki district.

Thiruvutsavam serves as the national festival of the country, celebrated in the month of Dhanu in conjunction with the Mandala Mahotsavam. This festival features rare and exquisite ceremonies and rituals, emphasizing the significance of temple traditions and conducted with order and reverence in accordance with ancient practices. The Vrutham observed during the Mandal period, along with the Thiruvutsavam of the Lord, is believed to cleanse devotees of their sins.

The week-long Tiruvutsavam commences with the Kodiyettu following the Parayeduppu and culminates with the kodiyirakku after the Arrattu on the seventh day. The festival includes artistic performances and celebrations by local residents, with participation from the entire nation, transcending caste and religious boundaries, and is celebrated with great grandeur each year.

ഇടുക്കി ജില്ലയിലെ മൂന്നാറിൽ നിന്ന് 13 കിലോമീറ്ററും, ചിത്തിരപുരത്തുനിന്നും 3.6 കിലോമീറ്ററും അകലെയായാണ് ആനച്ചാൽ ശ്രീ ധർമ്മശാസ്താ ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്. പ്രധാന പ്രതിഷ്ഠ ശ്രീ ധർമ്മശാസ്താവാണ്. അഖിലഭാരത അയ്യപ്പസേവാസംഘം ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ ഭരണച്ചുമതല കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യുന്നു. ധനുമാസത്തിൽ നടക്കുന്ന മണ്ഡല മഹോത്സവത്തോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് നടക്കുന്ന തിരുവുത്സവം നാടിന്റെ ദേശീയയോത്സവമായി കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
മണ്ഡലകാലത്തെ വ്രതവും ഭഗവാൻറെ തിരുവുത്സവവും ഭക്തരുടെ എല്ലാ ദോഷങ്ങളും നീക്കുന്നു. ഭഗവത് ചൈതന്യത്തെ ഭക്തിയോടെ ആകർഷിക്കുന്നതും എല്ലാ തിരുവുത്സവങ്ങളിലൂടെയും നടക്കുന്നു. ഏഴ് ദിവസം നീണ്ടു നിൽക്കുന്ന തിരുവുത്സവം പറയ്ക്കെഴുന്നള്ളിപ്പിന് ശേഷം കൊടിയേറ്റോടെ ആരംഭിച്ച്, ആറാട്ടിന് ശേഷം കൊടിയിറക്കത്തോടെ സമാപിക്കുന്നു. കലാപരിപാടികളും പ്രാദേശികനിവാസികളുടെ ഉത്സവങ്ങളും ഈ ആഘോഷത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമാണ്.
