Puduchirakav Devi Temple is a renowned, historic, and aesthetically pleasing temple situated in Purapuzha village, approximately 6 kilometers from Thodupuzha town.
Puduchirakav Devi Temple is located in Purappuzha, within the Idukki district, is known as the Puthuchirakavu Devi temple, which resides in the village of Purappuzha. This temple boasts a rich tradition spanning 1,500 years and was once under the governance of the Maztumchery family.
An annual festival is held here each year, featuring significant events such as Prethishtta dhinam, Kalasham, and Ponkala maholsavam, which take place during the Punartham nakshatra in the month of Kumbham. The principal festival, Meena Pooram, marks the commencement of the annual celebrations, which begin at the Punartham nakshatra of the Meenam month.
Additionally, the temple observes Mudiyettulsavam and Garudan Thookkam during the Meenam month. Viseshal Sarppa Pooja and Noorum Paalum are performed at the temple during the Aayillyam Nakshatra. Daily rituals, including Kalamezhuthum Pattum, are conducted during the Mandalakalam period. The temple also celebrates significant occasions such as Shivaratri, Durgashttami, Maha Navami, and Vijayadheshami each year.

മീന മാസത്തിലെ പൂരം ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന ഉത്സവമാണ്, കൂടാതെ മീനമാസത്തിലെ പുണർതം നക്ഷത്രത്തിൽ വാർഷിക ഉത്സവം ആരംഭിക്കുന്നു. മുടിയേറ്റുൽസവവും ഗരുഡൻ തൂക്കവും ഇവിടെ ആഘോഷിക്കാറുണ്ട്. പ്രത്യേകിച്ച്, സർപ്പപൂജയും നൂറും പാലും ആയില്യം നക്ഷത്രത്തിൽ നടക്കുന്നു. ശിവരാത്രി, ദുർഗ്ഗാഷ്ടമി, മഹാനവമി, വിജയദേശമി എന്നിവയും ഓരോ വർഷവും ഇവിടെ ആഘോഷിക്കാറുണ്ട്.
