Santhagiri Sri Maheswara Temple is situated approximately 1.5 kilometers from Adimali in the Idukki district, with Maheswaran being the principal deity of the temple.
This temple is one of the prominent establishments governed by the SNDP Yogam. The temple festival spans nine days during the month of Kumbh, with the Aarat Mahotsavam occurring on Shivaratri. It serves as a significant pilgrimage site, attracting numerous devotees from various backgrounds, regardless of caste or creed.
Key events include the completion of the Ramayana Parayana Yajna in the month of Karkitaka, the Mandala Pooja Mahotsav in Vruschikam, the Pratishtha Annual and Pongala Mahotsav in Medam, and the Trikarthika Mahotsavam also in Vruschikam.
Additionally, the Thiruvathira darshan and Dasapushparchana take place in Dhanu, while Ayilya Puja is celebrated in Kanni. The offering of Noorumpalum, Thaipooyam in Makara, and Vinayaka Chaturthi in Chingam are also notable occasions at this temple.
ശാന്തഗിരി ശ്രീ മഹേശ്വര ക്ഷേത്രം
ഇടുക്കി ജില്ലയിലെ അടിമാലിയിൽനിന്ന് ഏകദേശം 1.5 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന ക്ഷേത്രമാണ് ശാന്തഗിരി ശ്രീ മഹേശ്വര ക്ഷേത്രം. ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ മഹേശ്വരനാണ് പ്രധാന പ്രതിഷ്ഠ. SNDP യോഗത്തിന്റെ ഭരണത്തിൻ കീഴിലുള്ള പ്രധാന ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിലൊന്നായാണ് ഇത് അറിയപ്പെടുന്നത്. കുംഭമാസത്തിൽ 9 ദിവസങ്ങളോളം ക്ഷേത്രോത്സവം ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നു. ശിവരാത്രിയോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് ആറാട്ട് മഹോത്സവം നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു. ജാതിമത ഭേദമന്യേ അനേകം ഭക്തർ ഈ പുണ്യ തീർത്ഥാടന കേന്ദ്രത്തിൽ എത്തിച്ചേരുന്നു.
കർക്കിടക മാസത്തിൽ സമ്പൂർണ്ണ രാമായണം പാരായണ യജ്ഞം, വൃശ്ചിക മാസത്തിലെ മണ്ഡലപൂജാ മഹോത്സവം, മേടമാസത്തിലെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠാ വാർഷികവും പൊങ്കാല മഹോത്സവവും, വൃശ്ചിക മാസത്തിലെ തൃക്കാർത്തിക മഹോത്സവം, ധനുമാസത്തിലെ തിരുവാതിര ദർശനവും ദശപുഷ്പാർച്ചനയും, കന്നിമാസത്തിലെ ആയില്യ പൂജയും നൂറും പാലും സമർപ്പണവും, മകരമാസത്തിലെ തൈപ്പൂയം, ചിങ്ങമാസത്തിലെ വിനായക ചതുർത്ഥി എന്നിവയാണ് ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന ചടങ്ങുകൾ.
