Saramkuthi Sri Dharmashasta Temple is a historic temple situated in the Kudayathur village panchayat within the Idukki district.
Lemon lamp rituals, Ayilya Puja, are conducted on the first day of each month, while Shanishwara Puja takes place on the last Saturday of every month. Medam Vishu, also known as Kanikanal, features special pujas. In Karkitakam, the rituals include Karuthavaavu Balitarpanam and Uthramnal Mahamrityunjayahoma along with Aushadseva.
The month of Chingam is marked by the celebration of Vinayaka Chaturthi on Chaturthi day, and Kanni is observed with Vijayarambhasami (Vidyarambhasami). In Vrischikam, the Karthikavilaka Vrischikam/Sagittarius period includes Mandal Puja, Abhi Pooja, and the performance of the Shasta song.
ശരംകുത്തി ശ്രീ ധർമ്മശാസ്താ ദേവീ ക്ഷേത്രം
ഇടുക്കി ജില്ലയിലെ കുടയത്തൂർ ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്തിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന പുരാതന ക്ഷേത്രമാണ് ശരംകുത്തി ശ്രീ ധർമ്മശാസ്താ ക്ഷേത്രം. തൊടുപുഴയിൽ നിന്ന് 13 കിലോമീറ്റർ, മുട്ടത്തുനിന്ന് 5.8 കിലോമീറ്റർ ദൂരത്തിൽ സഞ്ചരിച്ചാൽ, കുടയത്തൂരിലെ ശരംകുത്തി ശ്രീ ധർമ്മശാസ്താ ക്ഷേത്രം എത്താം.
ദേവിക്ക് നാരങ്ങാവിളക്ക്, എല്ലാ മാസത്തിലെ ആദ്യവെള്ളിയാഴ്ചയാണ്. ആയില്യപൂജ എല്ലാ മാസവും ആയില്യം നാളിൽ നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു. ശനീശ്വര പൂജ എല്ലാമാസവും അവസാനത്തെ ശനിയാഴ്ചയാണ്. മേടം വിഷുവിന് പ്രത്യേകമായ പൂജകൾ ഉണ്ട്. കർക്കിടക മാസത്തിൽ കറുത്തവാവ് ബലിതർപ്പണം, കർക്കിടകം - ഉത്രംനാൾ മഹാമൃത്യുഞ്ജയഹോമവും ഔഷധസേവയും, ചിങ്ങം - ചതുർഥി ദിനം വിനായക ചതുർഥി.
കന്നി മാസത്തിൽ വിജയദശമി (വിദ്യാരംഭം) ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നു, വൃശ്ചികം - കാർത്തികവിളക്ക്. വൃശ്ചികം/ധനു മാസങ്ങളിൽ മണ്ഡലപൂജ, ആഴിപൂജ, ശാസ്താം പാട്ട് എന്നിവ എല്ലാ ആചാരാനുഷ്ടാനങ്ങളോടുകൂടി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു.
