Sree Annapoorneshwari Navagraha Bhadrakali temple is regarded as one of the most significant Devi shrines located in Thodupuzha, within the Idukki district.
The annual festival of this temple occurs in the Malayalam month of Kumbham and spans five days of remarkable celebrations. This festival is organized to enhance the vitality of the deity. Throughout the event, the shrine is adorned with plantain, coconut leaves, flowers, foliage, traditional lamps, and lights.
Special poojas and offerings are made during this period. The Thalappoli procession takes place on the festival's inaugural day. Additionally, traditional performing arts, music, and dance are showcased during the festival. A significant highlight of the celebration is Pongala, where thousands of women prepare a ceremonial offering of porridge made from rice, sweet brown molasses, grated coconut, nuts, and raisins.
തച്ചുകുഴിക്കാവ് അന്നപൂർണേശ്വരി ക്ഷേത്രം
ഇടുക്കി ജില്ലയിൽ തൊടുപുഴയിലെ പ്രധാന ദേവീക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നാണ് ശ്രീ അന്നപൂർണേശ്വരി നവഗ്രഹ ഭദ്രകാളി ക്ഷേത്രം. ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ വാർഷിക ഉത്സവം മലയാള മാസമായ കുംഭത്തിൽ ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നു. ഉത്സവ സമയത്ത്, ക്ഷേത്രം പരമ്പരാഗതമായി വാഴ, തെങ്ങിൻ ഇലകൾ, പൂക്കൾ, ഇലകൾ, പരമ്പരാഗത വിളക്കുകൾ എന്നിവയാൽ അലങ്കരിക്കുന്നു.
ഉത്സവകാലത്ത് പ്രത്യേക പൂജകളും വഴിപാടുകളും നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു. ഉത്സവത്തിന്റെ ആദ്യദിവസം താലപ്പൊലി ഘോഷയാത്ര നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു. ഉത്സവദിവസങ്ങളിൽ വിവിധ കലാരൂപങ്ങൾ, സംഗീതം, നൃത്തം എന്നിവ അരങ്ങേറുന്നു. ഉത്സവത്തിന്റെ മറ്റൊരു പ്രധാന പരിപാടിയാണ് പൊങ്കാല, തച്ചുകുഴിക്കാവ് അന്നപൂർണേശ്വരി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് സ്ത്രീകൾ അരി, ശർക്കര, തേങ്ങ, പരിപ്പ്, ഉണക്കമുന്തിരി എന്നിവ ചേർത്ത് തയ്യാറാക്കിയ വിഭവങ്ങൾ ദേവിക്ക് സമർപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
അന്നപൂർണേശ്വരി
ശ്രീപാർവതിയുടെ ഒരു രൂപഭേദമാണ്, ആദിപരാശക്തിയുടെ ആഹാരം നൽകുന്ന മാതൃഭാവം. ഒരു കൈയിൽ അന്നപാത്രവും മറ്റൊരു കൈയിൽ കരണ്ടിയും കൈവശം വഹിക്കുന്ന രൂപത്തിലാണ് ഭഗവതി. ശംഖ്, താമര, അന്നപാത്രം, കരണ്ടി എന്നിവ ധരിച്ച നാലു കൈകളുള്ള ഒരു സങ്കല്പം ചില രൂപശില്പങ്ങളിൽ കാണപ്പെടുന്നു. സർവ്വർക്കും ആഹാരം നൽകുന്ന പരാപ്രകൃതിയാണ് അന്നപൂർണയെന്ന് ദേവീപുരാണങ്ങൾ വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നു.ശിവനു അന്നം നൽകുന്ന ശ്രീപാർവതിയെ 'അന്നപൂർണേശ്വരി' എന്ന പേരിൽ സങ്കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
