Ammachiveedu Muhurthi is a Hindu temple situated in the Kollam district of Kerala, India. It is believed to be approximately 600 years old.
The principal deity of this location is Goddess Baglamukhi, known as the Adi parashakti. She is recognized as one of the Dasamahavidyas, which represent the ten manifestations of Parashakti. A tradition exists where a flag from the temple is taken and affixed to fishing boats, believed to enhance the catch of fish. The Guruthi Utsav is celebrated annually for ten days during the month of Dhan at the Ammachiveed temple.
Devotees worship Goddess Bagalamukhi to achieve triumph over adversaries, articulate effectively, succeed in debates, enhance public speaking skills, alleviate stage fright, and navigate various challenges in life. The Garbhagriha of the Ammachiveedu Muhurthi temple is modest in size, measuring 4 feet by 4 feet and standing 6 feet tall. Within the temple, there is a Peedam, a small platform adorned with silver plating, upon which the deity is positioned.

Surrounding the temple are several other deities, including Ganesha, Rektha Chamundi, Paramparu, Ykshi, Marutha, Rekshas, Gandharvan, Vethalam, and Yogeshwaran. Additionally, a deity known as Djinn is located outside the temple grounds and is venerated by the Muslim community.
Adjacent to the temple lies a Sarpakavu, or snake grove, which contains images of Parappooramma Bhagavathi, Nagaraja, Nagayakshi, and Naga Kanyaka.
The Ammachiveedu Muhurthi temple does not feature a principal idol and is dedicated to the guru of the Dharmaśhāstra from the Shasthamkotta temple, situated approximately 35 kilometers away.
The deity was entrusted to the elders of the Ammachi Veedu family in recognition of the marriage ceremonies conducted at the temple, and they are now honored as "Brahma Rakshas" on the right side of the deity. Due to the deity's status as a guru, family members are restricted from entering the Shasthamkotta temple premises. Various ceremonies and festivals are conducted at the Ammachiveedu Muhurthi temple during auspicious periods. The rituals of Sarpa Bali, which involves sacrifices for snakes, and Noorum Palum, which entails making offerings to snakes, are performed by a priest from the Pampummekkattu Mana located in Mala, Thrissur district.
The temple's principal annual festival does not have a fixed date; it occurs during the month of Dhanu, spanning from mid-December to early January, and is always celebrated following the Mandala Puja at the Sabarimala Dharma Shastra temple. According to an agreement, members of Ammachiveedu are prohibited from undertaking a pilgrimage to Sabarimala.
On the tenth day, the Karanavan, or the eldest male family member, performs the puja in a specially prepared Kalam, during which boiled Ninam is offered to the deity.

കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയിലെ കളക്ടറേറ്റിനു സമീപമുള്ള പുരാതനമായ അമ്മച്ചിവീട് മൂർത്തി ക്ഷേത്രം ആദിപരാശക്തിയായ ബഗ്ളാമുഖി ദേവിയെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ച സ്ഥലമാണ്. ബഗ്ളാമുഖി ദേവി ദശമഹാവിദ്യകളിൽ ഒരാമമായ, ശക്തമായ ഉഗ്രമൂർത്തിയാണ്. ഇവിടെ എല്ലാ ജാതിമതസ്ഥർക്കും പ്രവേശനം അനുവദിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു, കൂടാതെ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ നിന്ന് കൊടി കൊണ്ടുപോയി മത്സ്യബന്ധന വള്ളങ്ങളിൽ കെട്ടുന്നതിലൂടെ ധാരാളം മത്സ്യം ലഭിക്കുമെന്നു വിശ്വാസം. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ധനുമാസത്തിൽ പത്തുദിവസം നീണ്ടുനിൽക്കുന്ന ഗുരുതി ഉത്സവവും, ശത്രുക്കളെ ജയിക്കാൻ, സംവാദങ്ങളിൽ വിജയിക്കാനും, പൊതു പ്രസംഗത്തിൽ വിജയിക്കാനും ബഗ്ളാമുഖി ദേവിക്ക് സമർപ്പിച്ചുള്ള പൂജകളും ഉണ്ടെന്നും വിശ്വാസം.
പ്രധാന പ്രതിഷ്ഠ വിഗ്രഹരഹിതമായ അരൂപിയായ പരാശക്തിയാണെന്നും, ബഹുമാന്യമായ സങ്കല്പങ്ങൾ പ്രകാരം ശ്രീകോവിലിൽ സ്വർണപീഠത്തിലിരിക്കുന്ന ശംഖുകളിലാണ് ഭഗവതി 'കുടി കൊള്ളുന്നത്'. ഗണപതി, രക്തചാമുണ്ഡി, നാഗദേവതകൾ, ബ്രഹ്മരക്ഷസ്സ് തുടങ്ങി മറ്റു ദേവതകളെയും ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ആരാധിക്കുന്നു. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന വഴിപാട് മേനി പായസവും ബഗ്ളാമുഖി പുഷ്പാഞ്ജലിയും ആണ്. ധനുമാസത്തിലെ പത്തുദിവസം നീണ്ടുനിൽക്കുന്ന ഗുരുതി ഉത്സവം, നവരാത്രി വിജയദശമി തുടങ്ങിയ പ്രധാന പൂജകൾക്കൊപ്പം നിത്യവും അഞ്ചുപൂജകൾ സമർപ്പിക്കുകയും, സർപ്പബലിയും നൂറുപാലും നടത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
