Bhajanmadom Sri Ayyappa Temple is situated 1.8 kilometers away from Mathira in the Kollam district.
This temple is modest in size and is devoted to Sri Dharmashasta. The sub-deities include Nagathans and Sree Ganapati. Bhajanamadom Sri Dharmashastha is revered as the protector of Mathira and its inhabitants, recognized as the Kaliyuga Varadan, the healer of ailments, and the rescuer from Shanidosha. The administrative responsibilities are managed by the Sri Dharmashasta Temple Trust. The temple's annual festival, Uthram Mahotsavam, takes place in the month of Kumbham, coinciding with the anniversary of its dedication, which also falls in Kumbham.
ഭജനമഠം ശ്രീ അയ്യപ്പ ക്ഷേത്രം
മതിരയിൽ നിന്നും 1.8 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെയാണ് കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയിലെ ഭജനമഠം ശ്രീ അയ്യപ്പക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്. ശ്രീ ധർമ്മശാസ്താവിനാണ് ക്ഷേത്രം സമർപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. ഉപദേവന്മാരായി നാഗത്താന്മാരും ഗണപതിയും ഉണ്ട്. കലിയുഗത്തിലെ വരദനും സർവ്വ രോഗനിവാരകനും ശനിദോഷ മോചകനുമായ ഭജനമഠം ശ്രീ ധർമ്മശാസ്താവ്, മതിര നാടിന്റെ നാട്ടുകാരുടെ രക്ഷകനായി കുടികൊള്ളുന്നു. ശ്രീ ധർമ്മശാസ്താ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ ഭരണകാര്യങ്ങൾ ട്രസ്റ്റാണ് കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യുന്നത്.
ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ വാർഷികമഹോത്സവമായ ഉത്രം മഹോത്സവം കുംഭമാസത്തിൽ ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നു. പ്രതിഷ്ഠാ വാർഷികവും കുംഭമാസത്തിൽ തന്നെ നടക്കുന്നു.
