Elampalloor Sree Mahadevi Temple is situated in Kottamkara, close to Kundara, within the Kollam district of Kerala.
The principal deity revered in the temple is Vana Durga, who is oriented towards the west. The secondary deities honored within the temple are Ganapathy and Yakshi. Pala and Kayar are offered at the temple to alleviate respiratory issues. The Elanjivelil Nair family has historically overseen the temple's administration. The temple's annual festival occurs from Medam 1 to Medam 10 and is referred to as Pathamudayam Mahotsavam. A total of 40 Kettukazhcha and 2 Kuthiras are featured in this festival. The temple has consistently played a pivotal role in the preservation and maintenance of Chuttambalam, rituals, poojas, and the promotion of traditional art forms, including Kathakali, Ottamtullal, classical music, and unique customs that are deeply embedded in Kerala's cultural heritage.

ഇളമ്പള്ളൂർ ശ്രീ മഹാദേവി ക്ഷേത്രം കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയിലെ കുണ്ടറയ്ക്കടുത്തുള്ള കൊട്ടംകരയിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു. കൊല്ലത്തുനിന്നും കൊട്ടാരക്കരയിലേക്കുള്ള ദൂരം 15 കിലോമീറ്റർ ആണ്. ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം ശ്രീ മഹാദേവി (വനദുർഗ്ഗ) നു സമർപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. പടിഞ്ഞാറോട്ട് ദർശനമായാണ് പ്രതിഷ്ഠ. ഗണപതിയും യക്ഷിയുമാണ് ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ ഉപദേവതകൾ. ഇലഞ്ഞിവേലിൽ നായർ കുടുംബത്തിന്റെ ഭരണത്തിലായിരുന്നു ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ വടക്ക് ഭാഗത്ത് തറവാട്ടുകാരുടെ ഇലഞ്ഞിവേലിൽ കളരി സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു. ഇപ്പോൾ ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം ഇളമ്പള്ളൂർ ദേവസ്വം ട്രസ്റ്റിന്റെ കീഴിലാണ്.
