Kalarivathukal Mahadevar temple is located in the village of Valathungal, approximately 1.7 miles from Iravipuram in the Kollam district. The principal deity worshipped here is Sri Parameswaran.

The temple is now well-maintained and offers facilities for marriage and various spiritual ceremonies. The temple festival, held on Kumbhathiruwathira day, is recognized as a national celebration, attracting tens of thousands of participants.
കളരിവാതുക്കൽ ശ്രീ മഹാദേവർ ക്ഷേത്രം
കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയിൽ ഇരവിപുരത്തുനിന്ന് 1.7 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെയുള്ള വാളത്തുംഗൽ എന്ന ഗ്രാമത്തിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന കളരിവാതുക്കൽ മഹാദേവർ ക്ഷേത്രം വളരെ പ്രശസ്തമാണ്. കൊല്ലം ബൈപാസ്സിലെ മേവറം ജംഗ്ഷനിൽ നിന്ന് 3.5 കിലോമീറ്റർ പടിഞ്ഞാറ് വെൺപാലക്കര വഴിയിലൂടെ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെത്താം. ശ്രീ പരമേശ്വരനാണ് ഇവിടെ പ്രധാന പ്രതിഷ്ഠ.
കാലക്രമേണ ജീർണ്ണമായിരുന്ന കളരിവാതുക്കൽ ക്ഷേത്രം അടുത്ത കാലത്ത് പൂർണ്ണമായും പുതുക്കി പണിതാണ്, അതിനാൽ അതിന്റെ സൗന്ദര്യം വർദ്ധിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. നന്നായി പരിപാലിക്കുന്ന ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ വിവാഹ ചടങ്ങുകൾക്കും മറ്റ് ആധ്യാത്മിക ചടങ്ങുകൾക്കും സൗകര്യമുണ്ട്. കുംഭതിരുവാതിര ദിനത്തിൽ ക്ഷേത്രോത്സവം ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നു, ഈ ദിനം പതിനായിരങ്ങൾ പങ്കെടുക്കുന്ന കെട്ടുകാഴ്ചയായി മാറി നാടിന്റെ ഉത്സവമായി മാറുന്നു.
