Karthikazhikam Sreebhadrakali Temple is situated in the coastal region of Pozhikkara, at the western boundary of the Paravur municipality within the Kollam district.
The temple is located along the Kollam Paravoor coastal road. The principal deity worshipped here is Bhadrakali, representing the luminous form of Parashakti. It is believed that Mahabhairavi emerged from the third eye of Lord Parameshwar for the purpose of vanquishing Darika.

കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയിൽ പരവൂർ നഗരസഭയുടെ പടിഞ്ഞാറൻ അതിർത്തിയോട് ചേർന്നുള്ള തീരദേശ പ്രദേശമായ പൊഴിക്കരയിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു കാർത്തിക്കഴികം ശ്രീഭദ്രകാളി ക്ഷേത്രം. കൊല്ലം പരവൂർ തീരദേശ പാതയുടെ സമീപത്താണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്. പരാശക്തിയുടെ രൗദ്രഭാവമായ ഭദ്രകാളിയാണ് ഇവിടെ പ്രധാന പ്രതിഷ്ഠ. ദാരികവധത്തിനായി പരമേശ്വരന്റെ മൂന്നാം കണ്ണിൽനിന്ന് ഉല്പന്നമായ മഹാഭൈരവനാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ സങ്കല്പം.
