Komalath Kalari Sri Mahavishnu Temple, located in Kollam, Kerala, is a revered Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Mahavishnu, the preserver in Hindu Trinity.
The temple holds immense significance for devotees who seek blessings for prosperity, protection, and spiritual well-being. It is renowned for its peaceful ambiance and beautiful architecture, which reflects the traditional Kerala temple style. Throughout the year, devotees visit to offer prayers, perform rituals, and participate in various religious activities.
Lord Vishnu, one of the principal deities in Hinduism, is revered as the preserver or sustainer of the universe in the Hindu Trinity, alongside Brahma the creator and Shiva the destroyer. Vishnu is depicted with blue skin, holding the conch shell (shankha), the discus (chakra), the mace (gada), and the lotus flower (padma). The temple also houses upadevathas (sub-deities), including Ganapati, Bhadrabhagavati, Shasta, Brahmarakshas, Veerabhadraswami, Yogeeshwaran, Gandharvan, Yakshi, Madanswami, Nagaraja, and Nagayakshi.
Offerings such as Palpayasam (milk pudding) and Kadalipazham (bananas) are considered sacred. A special Udayasthamana Puja is performed daily, along with Unniappa Nivedya, Vishnu Puja, and Avatara Puja, which are performed on the first day of every Malayalam month. Additionally, Swayamvara Pushpanjali, Mangalya Pooja, and Dhanvanthari Mantrarchana are conducted every Thursday. For Bhadrabhagavati, Katumpayasam and Rakta Pushpanjali are offered, while Neerajanam, Shaniswar Puja, and Nakshatra Puja are dedicated to Shasta.
The temple's annual festival is held in the Malayalam month of Makaram (January–February), culminating in the grand Arattu on Atham day. The festival spans 10 days, and it is celebrated with vibrant rituals and cultural events. Historically built in the Tamil architectural style, the temple was later restored and transformed to embody Kerala's unique temple architecture.

കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയിലെ കരുനാഗപ്പള്ളി താലൂക്കിലെ തൊടിയൂർ ഗ്രാമത്തിലാണ് ശില്പങ്ങളും ചുവർ ചിത്രങ്ങളും കൊണ്ട് അലങ്കരിച്ച മനോഹരമായ തൊടിയൂർ പുലിയൂർവഞ്ചി വടക്ക് കോമാളത്ത് കളരി മഹാവിഷ്ണു ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം തന്റെ മഹിമയാൽ ദക്ഷിണ കേരളത്തിലെ പ്രമുഖ ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നായി മാറിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
മഹാവിഷ്ണുവിന് സമർപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ, ഗണപതി, ഭദ്രാഭാഗവതി, ശാസ്താവ്, ബ്രഹ്മരക്ഷസ്, വീരഭദ്രസ്വാമി, യോഗീശ്വരൻ, ഗന്ധർവ്വൻ, യക്ഷി, മാടൻസ്വാമി, നാഗരാജാവ്, നാഗയക്ഷി എന്നിവരാണ് ഉപദേവതകൾ. പ്രധാന വഴിപാടുകളായി പാൽപ്പായസവും കദളിപ്പഴവും നിർവഹിക്കുന്നു. എല്ലാ ദിവസവും ഉദയാസ്തമന പൂജയും നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു. മലയാളമാസത്തിലെ എല്ലാ ഒന്നാം തീയതികളിൽ ഉണ്ണിയപ്പ നിവേദ്യം, വിഷ്ണു പൂജ, അവതാര പൂജ എന്നിവയും ഒരുക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
പ്രത്യേകമായി, വ്യാഴാഴ്ചകളിൽ സ്വയംവര പുഷ്പാഞ്ജലി, മംഗല്യ പൂജ, ധന്വന്തരി മന്ത്രാർച്ചന എന്നിവയും, ഭദ്രാഭാഗവതിക്ക് കടുംപായസവും രക്ത പുഷ്പാഞ്ജലിയും ശാസ്താവിന് നീരാജനം, ശനീശ്വര പൂജ, നക്ഷത്ര പൂജ എന്നിവയും നടത്തിവരുന്നു. യോഗീശ്വരന് പാലും പഴവും സമർപ്പിക്കുന്നതും ശ്രദ്ധേയമാണ്. പ്രതിവർഷം മകരമാസത്തിലെ അത്തം നാളിൽ ആറാട്ടോടുകൂടി സമാപിക്കുന്ന 10 ദിവസത്തെ ഉത്സവം ഇവിടെ വലിയ ആചാര പ്രകാരത്തിലാണ് നടത്തുന്നത്. പണ്ട് തമിഴ് ശൈലിയിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന ക്ഷേത്രം, പുനരുദ്ധാരണത്തിനുശേഷം കേരളത്തിന്റെ തനതായ ശൈലിയിലേക്ക് മാറ്റപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്.
