Mangalathkavu Shree Durga Bhagavathy Temple is situated in Thrikkaruva, along the shores of Ashtamudi Lake in the Kollam district.
This temple is dedicated to the worship of Goddess Durga, although there are no existing records detailing its origins. The primary significant day of the temple occurs on Karthika day in the month of Makara. The festival features various attractions, including the Tiruvabharam procession and Ketkukazhcha, culminating in the Arattu Procession. All notable occasions are commemorated within the temple. Annually, the Devi Bhagavata Navaha Jnanayajnam is observed, along with celebrations for Thiruvonam, Vinayaka Chaturthi, Poojavayppu, Vidyarambham, Ayilyampooja, Vrischikam Mandalakalam, Ramayanam recitals during the month of Karkitaka, Ashtamirohini, Vishu, and Makarasamkranti, all of which are significant events in the temple's calendar.

കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയിലെ അഷ്ടമുടിക്കായലിന്റെ തീരത്ത്, കൊല്ലം നഗരത്തിനു വടക്കുപടിഞ്ഞാറായി, പ്രകൃതിസൗന്ദര്യം നിറഞ്ഞ തൃക്കരുവയിലാണ് മംഗലത്ത്കാവ് ശ്രീ ദുർഗ്ഗാ ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്. ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം ദുർഗ്ഗാദേവിക്ക് സമർപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. മകരമാസത്തിലെ കാർത്തിക നാളിൽ നടക്കുന്ന മകരകർത്തിക മഹോത്സവം ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന ആഘോഷമാണ്.
തിരുവാഭരണ ഘോഷയാത്രയും കെട്ടുകാഴ്ചയും ഉത്സവത്തിന്റെ ആകർഷണങ്ങളാണ്, ആറാട്ടെഴുന്നള്ളിപ്പോടെ ഉത്സവം സമാപിക്കുന്നു. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ വിശേഷദിവസങ്ങളിൽ ദേവീ ഭാഗവത നവാഹജ്ഞാനയജ്ഞം അടക്കമുള്ള ചടങ്ങുകൾ നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു. തിരുവോണം, വിനായക ചതുർത്ഥി, പൂജവയ്പ്പ്, വിദ്യാരംഭം, മകരസംക്രാന്തി, വിഷു, പത്താമുദയം എന്നിവയും വിശേഷമായി ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നു.
