On the Anchal-Kulathupuzha route, about 4 kilometers from Yeroor Junction, lies the Mayilaadumkunnu Sree Murugan Kovil. The temple is located half a kilometer to the south of the main road, offering devotees a serene spot to worship Lord Murugan.
The principal deity of the temple is Subrahmanya, depicted in his youthful form, adorned with Abhayavaradamudras, Vel, and Shakti across four arms, bestowing blessings upon the devotees.
The primary offerings at Mayilatumkunn Srimurukan Temple include Panchamritabhishekam, Panakam, and Chuttukavadi. The Shashti day of each month holds significant importance for Subrahmanya Swami, the son of Lord Parvathiparameswara.
Among these, the Shashti occurring in the month of Libra (Thulam), referred to as Skandashashti, is particularly noteworthy. It is believed that visiting the Subrahmanya temple on this day and reciting mantras that please Subrahmanya will yield beneficial results. It is also recommended to offer Kumarasukta pushpanjali and a garland of lemons. After crossing the 12 stone steps representing the Eeraru Karas and the temple tower decorated in Kerala vasthu style devotes can see the temple of Kumaraswamy. the sub-deities are Mahaganapati, Hanumanswamy, Shastav, Durgabhagavati, Umamaheswaran, besides the Swayambhu kavu, the pond and the presence of Nagas.
