Mulavana Mahadevar Temple, also known as Sree Mahadevar Temple, is located in the village of Mulavana in Kollam District of Kerala, southern India. It is administered by the Mulavana Mahadevar Devaswom.
The temple serves as the primary site of worship for the residents of Mulavana and surrounding regions. It is accessible to the public, allowing individuals to enter and engage in worship freely. The Kadalayi Mana holds hereditary rights to oversee the temple's administration and its associated properties. A significant festival, Maha Shivaratri, is celebrated at the temple during the month of Kumbham (February/March). This occasion holds great importance for the people of Mulavana and nearby villages, and it is observed without regard to caste or religion. The temple is dedicated to several deities, including Sastha, Ganapathi, Yakshiyamma, Nagaraja, and the revered lord Mahadevar.
മുളവന ശ്രീമഹാദേവർ ക്ഷേത്രം
മുളവന ഗ്രാമത്തിലെ മുളവന ചെറിയിലെ മുളവന മഹാദേവർ ദേവസ്വം ശ്രീ മഹാദേവർ ക്ഷേത്രം ഒരു പുരാതന ക്ഷേത്രമാണ്, ഇത് ഈ പ്രദേശത്ത് വലിയ മഹത്ത്വവും പ്രശസ്തിയും നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. മുളവന ഗ്രാമത്തിലും അതിന്റെ ചുറ്റുപാടുകളിലും ഉള്ള ജനങ്ങളുടെ പ്രധാന ആരാധനാലയമായി ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം നിലനിൽക്കുന്നു. ഇത് ഒരു പൊതു ആരാധനാലയമാണ്, അതിനാൽ ആളുകൾക്ക് ഇവിടെ പ്രവേശിക്കാനും ശരിയായ രീതിയിൽ ആരാധന നടത്താനും അവകാശമുണ്ട്. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ കാര്യങ്ങളും അതുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട സ്വത്തുക്കളും കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യുന്നതിനുള്ള പാരമ്പര്യ അവകാശം കടലായിൽ മനയ്ക്ക് ലഭ്യമാണ്. 'കുംഭം' (ഫെബ്രുവരി / മാർച്ച്) മാസത്തിൽ മഹാശിവരാത്രി ഉത്സവം ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നു. മുളവാനയിലെയും സമീപ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളിലെയും ജനങ്ങൾക്ക് ശിവരാത്രി ദിനം വളരെ പ്രത്യേകമായതാണ്. ജാതി, മത എന്നിവയുടെ അതിരുകൾ ഇല്ലാതെ ഈ ഉത്സവം ആഘോഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
