Padinjattinkara Mahadeva Temple is situated just 50 meters from Manikanteswaram Mahadeva Temple. It is a significant Maha Kshetra, with idols of Lord Mahadeva (facing west) and Sree Parvathy (facing east) enshrined together in the same Sreekovil.
The copper-covered, two-tiered circular Sreekovil of Padinjattinkara Mahadeva Temple is larger than that of Manikandeswaram Temple and adorned with intricate sculptures. Inside the Sreekovil, there is a Ganapathy prathishta facing south, while another Ganapathy prathishta in the Nalambalam faces east. The Valiyabalikkallu is situated outside the Nalambalam. This west-facing Mahadeva temple also features a copper dwaja and has a small gopuram at the western entrance. The east-facing Shastha shrine is located in the southwest corner of the temple compound, with the Sarppakkavu nearby. Women are not permitted to enter the Sarppakkavu. The Navagraha prathishta is positioned in the northeast corner, and the Sree Krishna shrine is located adjacent to it. The temple pond is on the eastern side. Five poojas and three sheevelis are performed daily at the temple.
പടിഞ്ഞാറ്റിൻകര മഹാദേവ ക്ഷേത്രം
പടിഞ്ഞാറ്റിൻകര മഹാദേവ ക്ഷേത്രം മണികണ്ഠേശ്വരം മഹാദേവ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ നിന്ന് 50 മീറ്റർ അകലെയാണ്. ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം എല്ലാ വശത്തും മഹത്തായ ഒരു ക്ഷേത്രമായി കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. മഹാദേവനും (പടിഞ്ഞാറ് ദർശനമായി) ശ്രീപാർവ്വതിയുടെയും (കിഴക്ക് ദർശനമായി) വിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ ഒരേ ശ്രീകോവിലിലാണ് സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്. മണികണ്ഠേശ്വരം ക്ഷേത്രത്തേക്കാൾ വലുതും അതിമനോഹരമായ ശിൽപങ്ങളുള്ള രണ്ട് നിലകളുള്ള വൃത്താകൃതിയിലുള്ള ശ്രീകോവിൽ ചെമ്പ് പൊതിഞ്ഞതാണ്. ശ്രീകോവിലിൽ തെക്കോട്ടു ദർശനമായി ഗണപതി പ്രതിഷ്ഠയുണ്ട്, കൂടാതെ നാലമ്പലത്തിൽ കിഴക്കോട്ട് മറ്റൊരു ഗണപതി പ്രതിഷ്ഠയുണ്ട്.
നാലമ്പലത്തിന് പുറത്താണ് വലിയബലിക്കല്ല് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. പടിഞ്ഞാറ് അഭിമുഖമായുള്ള ഈ മഹാദേവ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ചെമ്പ് ധ്വജമുണ്ട്, കൂടാതെ പടിഞ്ഞാറേ കവാടത്തിൽ ഒരു ചെറിയ ഗോപുരം കാണപ്പെടുന്നു. ക്ഷേത്രവളപ്പിന്റെ തെക്ക് പടിഞ്ഞാറൻ കോണിൽ കിഴക്കോട്ട് ദർശനമായി ശാസ്താക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു. ശാസ്താക്ഷേത്രത്തിനടുത്തുള്ള മനോഹരമായ സർപ്പക്കാവിൽ സ്ത്രീകൾക്ക് പ്രവേശനം അനുവദിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. ക്ഷേത്രവളപ്പിന്റെ വടക്ക് കിഴക്കൻ കോണിൽ നവഗ്രഹ പ്രതിഷ്ഠയും, അതിനടുത്ത് ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണ ക്ഷേത്രവും സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു. ക്ഷേത്രക്കുളം കിഴക്കുവശത്താണ്. ദിവസേന അഞ്ച് പൂജകളും മൂന്ന് ശീവേലികളും നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു.
