ശ്രീ മഹാദേവൻ, പ്രപഞ്ചേശ്വരനും ഭൂതനാഥനും, സർവ്വോപരി സർവ്വാഭീഷ്ടവരദായകനുമായ മഹാദേവർ ക്ഷേത്രം, കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയിലെ കൊട്ടാരക്കരയിൽ നിന്നും 7 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന പനവേലിയിലാണ്. ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം മഹാദേവനു സമർപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ശിവരാത്രി മഹോത്സവം ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ മറ്റൊരു പ്രധാന ആകർഷണമാണ്. മേടമാസത്തിൽ നടക്കുന്ന മൂന്ന് ദിവസത്തെ ചിത്തിര മഹോത്സവം ഗംഭീരമായി ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നു.
