Panayam Sree Dharma Sastha Temple Perinad Kollam

The principal deity of this temple is Sri Dharmashasta, while the sub-deities, Sri Parameswaran and Sri Mahaganapati, each have their own dedicated shrines. The temple's annual festival occurs during the month of Vruschikam, commencing with Thiru kodiyettam and concluding with Kodiyirakkam following Thiru Aarattu. The festival is characterized by vibrant art performances, musical evenings, spiritual discourses, processions, Thalapoli, and special offerings, all contributing to its grandeur. This celebration in Panayam land is inclusive, transcending caste and religious boundaries. The temple observes all significant days, with Shivarathri and Vinayaka Chathurthi being particularly noteworthy. Additionally, there are 41 special days recognized during the Mandala period. The Vilakku festival is celebrated in honor of Makaravilakku, and rituals such as Azhi Pooja, Shastampaattu, and Ayyappan vilakku are conducted with great devotion throughout each Mandala period.

പനയംശ്രീ ധർമ്മശാസ്താ ക്ഷേത്രം

പനയം ഗ്രാമം കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയിലെ ചിറ്റുമല ബ്ളോക്കിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു. ഇവിടെ പനയം ശ്രീ ധർമ്മശാസ്താ ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു, ഇതിന്റെ പ്രധാന പ്രതിഷ്ഠ ശ്രീ ധർമ്മശാസ്താവാണ്. ഉപദേവന്മാരായ ശ്രീ പരമേശ്വരനും, ശ്രീ മഹാഗണപതിക്കും പ്രത്യേക ശ്രീകോവിലുകൾ ഉണ്ട്. ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ വാർഷിക ഉത്സവം വൃശ്ചിക മാസത്തിൽ നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു. തിരു കൊടിയേറ്റോടെ ആരംഭിച്ച്, തിരുഃആറാട്ടും കഴിഞ്ഞ് കൊടിയിറക്കത്തോടെ സമാപിക്കുന്നു. ഉത്സവത്തോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് കലാപരിപാടികൾ, സംഗീതസായാഹ്നങ്ങൾ, കെട്ടുകാഴ്ചകൾ, ഗജവീരന്മാരുടെ എഴുന്നള്ളിപ്പ്, താലപ്പൊലി, പ്രത്യേക വഴിപാടുകൾ എന്നിവ ഉത്സവത്തിന് പ്രത്യേക ആകർഷണം നൽകുന്നു. പനയം ദേശത്തിന്റെ ഈ മഹോത്സവം ജാതി മത ഭേദമില്ലാതെ ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നു.മണ്ഡലകാലത്ത് 41 ദിവസവും ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ പ്രത്യേകമായ ആഘോഷങ്ങളാണ് നടക്കുന്നത്. മകരവിളക്കിന് വിളക്ക് മഹോത്സവം ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നു. ശിവരാത്രിയും വിനായക ചതുർത്ഥിയും ഈ കാലയളവിൽ പ്രത്യേകമായ ദിവസങ്ങളാണ്. ആഴിപൂജ, ശാസ്‌താംപാട്ട്, അയ്യപ്പൻ വിളക്ക് എന്നിവ എല്ലാ മണ്ഡലക്കാലത്തും ഭക്തിപൂർവം നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു.
