Pangod Srikrishna Swamy Temple serves as a sacred abode for Lord Sri Krishna. It is situated in Pangod, close to the Shastamkota Kottarakkara road within the Kollam district.
Pangod Srikrishna Swamy Temple is an ancient sacred shrine where devotees seek blessings for prosperity, success in all aspects of life, long-lasting auspiciousness, and relief from all hardships. It is believed that a darshan of Lord Sri Krishna, who radiates divine energy (Chaitanya), and where puja rituals are performed in alignment with one’s destiny, grants prosperity and spiritual fulfillment. The temple has a large, serene pond beside it, which is home to various types of fish that devotees feed.
Fishing is strictly prohibited, and the tranquil atmosphere of the pond draws many visitors. Sri Krishna is revered here as a protector in times of difficulty, with the belief that he never abandons his devotees. This belief is what draws countless believers to the temple, seeking his divine intervention.The temple celebrates all Krishna-related festivals, with Ashtami Rohini being the most significant. Special pujas are held on Vishu and Ashtami Rohini, along with celebrations during Pathamudayam, Navratri, Mandala Kalam, Thiruvonam Oot, Bhagavatha Sapthaham, and Ramayana Month.

കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയിലെ ശാസ്താംകോട്ട - കൊട്ടാരക്കര റോഡിന് സമീപം പാങ്ങോടാണ് പാങ്ങോട് ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണസ്വാമി ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. പുത്തൂരിൽ നിന്ന് ഏകദേശം 2.4 കിലോമീറ്റർ മാത്രം ദൂരം ഉള്ള ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം വളരെ പുരാതനവും മനോഹരവുമായ കൃഷ്ണ ക്ഷേത്രമാണ്. ഐശ്വര്യ സമൃദ്ധിക്കും, സർവ്വാഭീഷ്ട സിദ്ധിക്കും, നീണ്ട മംഗല്യത്തിനും, സർവ്വ ദോഷ പരിഹാരത്തിനും ഭക്തർ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്ന പുണ്യ സങ്കേതം എന്നതുകൊണ്ടാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം പ്രസിദ്ധമായത്.
ചൈതന്യ പൂർണ്ണമായ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണഭഗവാന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ ഭക്തർ ദർശനം നടത്തി, വിധിപ്രകാരം പൂജാദികർമ്മങ്ങൾ നടത്തുമ്പോൾ ഐശ്വര്യവും ഈശ്വര സാക്ഷാൽക്കാരവും ലഭിക്കുമെന്നാണ് വിശ്വാസം. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിനോട് ചേർന്ന് മനോഹരവും വിശാലവുമായ ഒരു ക്ഷേത്രക്കുളം ഉണ്ട്, വിവിധതരം മത്സ്യങ്ങളാൽ സമ്പന്നമായ ഈ കുളം സന്ദർശകരെ ആകർഷിക്കുന്നു. ഭക്തർ മത്സ്യങ്ങളെ തീറ്റിപ്പോറ്റുക മാത്രമാണ് ചെയ്യുന്നത്, ഇവ പിടിക്കാൻ അനുവാദമില്ല. ഭക്തർ കൃഷ്ണനെ ആപത്ത് ബാന്ധവനായി (കഷ്ടകാലങ്ങളിൽ രക്ഷകനായി) ആരാധിക്കുന്നു. "കൃഷ്ണൻ ഒരിക്കലും കൈവിടില്ല" എന്ന ഉറച്ച വിശ്വാസമാണ് ഇവിടത്തെ ഭക്തരുടെ ആത്മവിശ്വാസം. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ കൃഷ്ണനുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട എല്ലാ ഉത്സവങ്ങളും വലിയ ആഘോഷത്തോടെ ആചരിക്കുന്നു.
അതിൽ പ്രധാനമായത് അഷ്ടമി രോഹിണിയാണ്. വിഷു, അഷ്ടമി രോഹിണി തുടങ്ങിയ ദിവസം ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ വിശേഷാൽ പൂജകളും ക്ഷേത്രോത്സവവുമുണ്ട്. മീനമാസത്തിൽ എട്ട് ദിവസത്തെ മഹോത്സവം നടത്തുന്നു. തൃക്കൊടിയേറ്റോടെ ഉത്സവം ആരംഭിച്ച് പള്ളിവേട്ട, ആറാട്ട് എന്നിവയ്ക്ക് ശേഷം എട്ടാം നാൾ കൊടിയിറക്കുന്നു. ഉത്സവത്തോട് അനുബന്ധിച്ച് ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ നടത്തുന്ന പാൽപായസ പൊങ്കാല വിശേഷ പ്രാധാന്യമുള്ളതാണ്. പത്താമുദയം, നവരാത്രി, വിദ്യാരംഭം, മണ്ഡലകാലം, തിരുവോണം ഊട്ട്, ഭാഗവത സപ്താഹം, രാമായണമാസം, വിനായക ചതുര്‍ത്ഥി എന്നിവയും ഇവിടെ ആഘോഷമാക്കുന്ന പ്രധാന വിശേഷ ദിനങ്ങളാണ്.
