Puthoor Cherumangad Devi Temple is an ancient and revered temple known for granting prosperity, success, and protection from evil. The temple's annual seven-day festival, called Kumbha Tiruvathira Thirunal, takes place on the Thiruvathira Nakshatra in the Malayalam month of Kumbham. The temple follows traditional Kerala architectural styles with a nalampalam, square shrine, sub-deity temples, and a namaskara mandapam. The temple festival is well-known and attracts thousands of devotees.
Special events during the festival include Kalamezhuthum paattum, Sopanasandhya, traditional dances, music concerts, processions, parades, mela, Kuthira, traditional art forms, and fireworks. The Kuzhikkalidavaka Devaswom oversees the temple’s administration, along with nearby temples like Pangod Devi Temple, Pangod Sree Krishnaswamy Temple, and Khikkal Sri Dharmashasta Temple.

കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയിലെ പുത്തൂരിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന പുത്തൂർ ചെറുമങ്ങാട് ചേരിയിൽ ദേവി ക്ഷേത്രം ദുർഗാദേവിക്ക് സമർപ്പിച്ച ഒരു പ്രാചീന ദേവാലയമാണ്. ചെറുമങ്ങാട് മുതൽ 1.5 കിലോമീറ്റർ മാത്രം ദൂരം മറികടന്നാൽ ഈ മനോഹര ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെത്താം. ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ ഏഴു ദിവസത്തെ വാർഷിക ഉത്സവം കുംഭമാസത്തിലെ തിരുവാതിര നക്ഷത്ര ദിനത്തിൽ ആഘോഷിക്കുന്ന "കുംഭതിരുവാതിര തിരുനാൾ" എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്നു. കേരളത്തിലെ പരമ്പരാഗത ശൈലിയിൽ നിർമിച്ച ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ നാലമ്പലം, ചതുര ശ്രീകോവിൽ, ഉപദേവതാ ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങൾ, നമസ്കാര മണ്ഡപം എന്നിവ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു.
വാർഷിക ഉത്സവം വളരെ പ്രശസ്തമാണ്, ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് ഭക്തർ പങ്കെടുക്കാൻ എത്തുന്നു. കളമെഴുത്തും പാട്ടും, സോപാനസന്ധ്യ, നൃത്തനൃത്ത്യങ്ങൾ, ഗാനമേളകൾ, എഴുന്നള്ളത്ത്, കുതിര, മേളം, വെടിക്കെട്ട് തുടങ്ങിയവ ഉത്സവത്തിന്റെ പ്രധാന ആകർഷണങ്ങളാണ്. കുഴിക്കലിടവക ദേവസ്വം ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൻറെ ഭരണഭാര്യം വഹിക്കുന്നു. ദേവസ്വത്തിന് കീഴിലുള്ള മറ്റ് പ്രധാന ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിൽ പാങ്ങോട് ദേവി ക്ഷേത്രം, പാങ്ങോട് ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണസ്വാമി ക്ഷേത്രം, കുഴിക്കൽ ശ്രീ ധർമ്മശാസ്താ ക്ഷേത്രം ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു. പൊങ്കാല, നവരാത്രി, വിദ്യാരംഭം, മണ്ഡല കാലം, ഭാഗവത പാരായണം, രാമായണമാസം, വിനായക ചതുര്‍ത്ഥി തുടങ്ങിയ ചടങ്ങുകളിലും ഭക്തർ വിശേഷമായി പങ്കെടുക്കുന്നു.
