Tathamangalam Sri Mahadeva Temple is situated in Natutteri Pitavoor, within the Thalavoor area of Kollam district.
The Mahashivaratri festival, which is the principal celebration of the temple, takes place in the month of Kumbha (March) and is marked by a variety of rituals, vibrant processions, and artistic performances.
Annually, the temple observes several significant events, including the Upadevaya Dedication Anniversary Celebration during Utram Nakshatra in the month of Meda, the Pongala Mahotsav held on the first Sunday of the Makara month, and the Mandal Chirap Mahotsavam lasting for 41 days. Additionally, Kanjisadya is offered to devotees on the final day, while the Ramayana Massacharanam occurs in the month of Karkitka. The Nagadev Puja is celebrated on Ai and the day of the Virgo month, and the Mahaganapathi homam takes place on Vinayaka Chaturthi. Each month in the Malayalam calendar features the Bhagavata Parayanam on the first day, culminating in the observance of Thirumunnil Para on the day of Shivaratri, all of which are special days and rituals associated with the temple.
തത്തമംഗലം ശ്രീ മഹാദേവർ ക്ഷേത്രം
കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയിലെ തലവൂരിലെ നടുത്തേരി പിടവൂരിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന തത്തമംഗലം ശ്രീ മഹാദേവ ക്ഷേത്രം വളരെ പ്രശസ്തമാണ്. അഭീഷ്ടവരദായകനും, ക്ഷിപ്രപ്രസാദിയുമായ ശ്രീമഹാദേവൻ പ്രധാന പ്രതിഷ്ഠയായി സചിത ഋഷീശ്വരന്മാരാൽ സ്ഥാപിതമായ മഹാശിവലിംഗം ഇവിടെ വാണരുളുന്നു. സർവ്വചരാചരങ്ങൾക്കും അനുഗ്രഹത്തിന്റെ അമൃതവർഷം ചൊരിഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടാണ് തത്തമംഗലം ശ്രീ മഹാദേവക്ഷേത്രം നിലനിൽക്കുന്നത്. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന ഉത്സവമായ മഹാശിവരാത്രി ഉത്സവം കുംഭ മാസത്തിൽ (മാർച്ച്) ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നു. ക്ഷേത്രാചാരവിധി അനുസരിച്ച് വിവിധ ചടങ്ങുകളോടും, വർണ്ണാഭമായ എഴുന്നള്ളിപ്പോടും, കലാപരിപാടികളോടും കൂടി ഭക്തിയോടെ ആഘോഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
എല്ലാ വർഷവും മേടമാസത്തിലെ ഉത്രം നക്ഷത്രത്തിൽ ഉപദേവാലയ പ്രതിഷ്ഠാ വാർഷികാഘോഷം, മകരമാസത്തിലെ ആദ്യ ഞായറാഴ്ച പൊങ്കാല മഹോത്സവം, 41 ദിവസങ്ങളോളം നടക്കുന്ന മണ്ഡലം ചിറപ്പ് മഹോത്സവം, സമാപന ദിനത്തിൽ ഭക്തജനങ്ങൾക്കായി കഞ്ഞിസദ്യ, കർക്കിടക മാസത്തിൽ രാമായണമാസാചരണം, കന്നിമാസത്തിലെ ആയില്യം നാളിൽ നാഗദേവപൂജ, നൂറും പാലും, വിനായക ചതുർത്ഥി ദിനത്തിൽ മഹാഗണപതി ഹോമം, എല്ലാ മലയാള മാസത്തിലെ 1-ാം തീയതി ഭഗവതപാരായണം, ശിവരാത്രി ദിനത്തിൽ തിരുമുന്നിൽ പറ എന്നിവയാണ് ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന വിശേഷദിവസങ്ങളും ആചാരങ്ങളും.
