Thiruvelikode Sri Mahadevar Temple is a historic site situated in Inchakkad, to the south of Sooranadu, within the Kottarakkara taluk of the Kollam district. This temple is devoted to Sri Mahadev.
Thiruvelikode Sri Mahadevar Temple is a sacred site imbued with the divine essence of the Lord of the Universe. The management of the temple is overseen by the Mahadevarvilasam Hindu organization. The nine-day Trikotiyattu Mahotsavam at Srimahadevarkshethram in Thiruvelikode coincides with Shivaratri during the month of Kumbham.
Annually, the Mahamruthyunjayahomam is conducted with various rituals at Tiruvelikode Sri Mahadevarkshetra. Mahamruthyunjayahomam is a highly esteemed ritual dedicated to the Eternal Lord Mahadeva, aimed at promoting longevity and alleviating the burdens of illness and the trials of life. This homam is one of the foremost offerings made to please Lord Shiva. Each year, numerous devotees gather at the temple to participate in this revered and sacred ceremony, seeking the blessings and grace of Lord Mahadev. Additionally, the Shivapurana Ekadasa Gnanayajana is held annually at the Thiruvelikode Srimahadevartemple during the month of Thulam. The Shivapurana Ekadasa Gnanayanjam, conducted once a year in various Shiva temples, is regarded with significant reverence.

ദീർഘായുസ്സിനും രോഗദുരിതങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നും കാലദോഷദുരിതങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നും മുക്തി നേടുന്നതിനായി, മ്യത്യുഞ്ജയനായ മഹാദേവൻറെ പ്രീതിക്കായി നടത്തുന്ന അതീവ ശ്രേഷ്ഠമായ വഴിപാടാണ് മൃത്യുഞ്ജയഹോമം. ശിവപ്രീതിക്കായുള്ള വഴിപാടുകളിൽ പ്രഥമ ഗണത്തിൽ പെട്ടതാണ് ഇത്. ക്ഷേത്രസന്നിധിയിൽ നടക്കുന്ന ഈ അതിശ്രേഷ്ഠവും പുണ്യദായകവുമായ ഹോമത്തിൽ പങ്കാളികളാകാനും മഹാദേവൻറെ അനുഗ്രഹാശ്ശിസുകൾക്കും സർവ്വൈശ്വര്യത്തിനും വേണ്ടി ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് ആളുകൾ ക്ഷേത്രസന്നിധിയിൽ എത്തിച്ചേരുന്നു.
