Thottumkara Sreedharmasastha Temple is situated in Kongal, approximately 3.3 kilometers from Paravur in the Kollam district. This temple is dedicated to Sri Dharmashasta.
The temple is managed by the Varkala division of the Travancore Devaswom Board. The anniversary of its dedication and the annual festival, Uthram Thirunal Mahotsavam, take place in the month of Meenam, coinciding with the temple's rituals. This annual celebration highlights temple arts and features Annadanam, which is a favored offering to Ayyappa Bhagavan. Additionally, the temple serves as a significant stopover for pilgrims traveling to Sabarimala.
തോട്ടുംകര ശ്രീധർമ്മശാസ്‌താ ക്ഷേത്രം
കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയിൽ പരവൂരിൽ നിന്നും 3.3 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെയുള്ള കോങ്ങാലിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന തോട്ടുംകര ശ്രീധർമ്മശാസ്‌താ ക്ഷേത്രം, പുണ്യപുരാതനവും ചരിത്രപരമായതുമായ ഒരു ക്ഷേത്രമാണ്. ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം ശ്രീധർമ്മശാസ്താവിനെയാണ് സമർപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. തിരുവിതാംകൂർ ദേവസ്വം ബോർഡിന്റെ വർക്കല ഗ്രൂപ്പിന്റെ കീഴിലുള്ള ക്ഷേത്രമാണിത്. പ്രതിഷ്‌ഠാ വാർഷികവും, വാർഷിക ഉത്സവമായ ഉത്രം തിരുനാൾ മഹോത്സവവും മീനമാസത്തിൽ ക്ഷേത്രാചാരങ്ങളോടുകൂടി ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നു. അയ്യപ്പഭഗവാൻറെ ഇഷ്ടവഴിപാടായ അന്നദാനത്തിനും ക്ഷേത്രകലകൾക്കും പ്രാധാന്യം നൽകിയാണ് ഈ വാർഷിക ഉത്സവം നടത്തുന്നത്. ശബരിമല തീർത്ഥാടകരുടെ ഇടത്താവളമായും ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു.
