The local Hindu organization manages the temple's operations. The ten-day Thiruvutsavam of Trikannapuram Sri Mahadev is observed during the month of Medamasam and is referred to as Pathamudaya Mahotsavam. The festival culminates with the grand Kettukazhcha Procession, which serves as the main highlight of the event. Additionally, Thiruvathira in the month of Dhanu, recognized as the birthday of Shri Parameswaran, and Mahashivaratri in the month of Kumbham are significant occasions celebrated at this temple. The distinguished Dhanumasa Thiruvathira, marking the 41st day of the temple's Vruschika Chirappu, is a grand celebration in honor of Lord Mahadev.
Devotees who partake in Thiruvathiravratam, the sacred day dedicated to Sri Parameswaran, are believed to achieve good health and fulfill their desires through the Lord's blessings. Neerajanam serves as the principal offering at the temple. The collective offering of Samooha Niragana is said to dispel Shanidosham and Rahu dosha, leading to the realization of wishes, the attainment of knowledge, auspiciousness, and the convergence of all positive outcomes.

ഭൗതികതൃഷ്‌ണകളിൽ നിന്ന് ഉയർന്ന്, അനന്തവും നിഷ്‌കളങ്കവും ആനന്ദകരവുമായ ശിവതത്ത്വത്തിന്റെ പരമപ്രഭാവത്തിൽ ലയിക്കാൻ നിരവധി ഭക്തർ ഈ ക്ഷേത്രസന്നിധിയിൽ എത്തുന്നു. ക്ഷേത്രകാര്യങ്ങൾ ദേശത്തെ ഹൈന്ദവ സംഘടന കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യുന്നു. തൃക്കണ്ണാപുരം ശ്രീമഹാദേവന്റെ പത്ത് ദിവസത്തെ തിരുവുത്സവം മേടമാസത്തിൽ ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നു. പത്താമുദയ മഹോത്സവം എന്ന പേരിൽ അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ഈ ഉത്സവത്തിന്റെ സമാപന ദിവസം ഗംഭീര കെട്ടുകാഴ്ചയാണ് പ്രധാന ആകർഷണം. ശ്രീ പരമേശ്വരന്റെ ജന്മനാളായി കണക്കാക്കുന്ന ധനുമാസത്തിലെ തിരുവാതിരയും മഹാശിവരാത്രിയും ഇവിടെ പ്രധാനമായ വിശേഷദിവസങ്ങളാണ്.
ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ വൃശ്ചിച്ചിറപ്പിന്റെ 41-ാം ദിവസമായ മഹാദേവന്റെ തിരുനാളായ ധനുമാസത്തിലെ തിരുവാതിര വിപുലമായ ആഘോഷങ്ങളോടുകൂടി നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു. ശ്രീ പരമേശ്വരന്റെ തിരുനാളായ തിരുവാതിരവ്രതം അനുഷ്‌ഠിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് ആയുരാരോഗ്യസൗഖ്യം, ഉദ്ദിഷ്‌ടകാര്യസിദ്ധി എന്നിവ ഭഗവാന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹത്താൽ ലഭ്യമാകുന്നു. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന വഴിപാടാണ് നീരാജ്ഞനം. സമൂഹനീരാജ്ഞനം സമർപ്പിക്കുമ്പോൾ ശനിദോഷം, രാഹുദോഷം എന്നിവ നീങ്ങി ആഗ്രഹസാഫല്യവും വിദ്യാഗുണവും മംഗല്യസിദ്ധിയും സർവൈശ്വര്യങ്ങളും കൈവരുന്നു.
