Tripanayam Devi Temple, an ancient place of worship, is located in Perunadu, in proximity to Kollam town. This temple is dedicated to Sri Bhadrakali Devi.
Numerous devotees visit the temple to seek darshan of Thrippanayathamma. The temple has been magnificently reconstructed in the traditional Kerala architectural style, featuring three grand storeys. The spiritual atmosphere is invigorated by tantric ritual pujas and continuous mantra chanting, alongside the nine days of the Navratri Mahotsav, Vidyarambham, and the month-long celebrations of Thotampattu and Guruti during Vrischikam.
Additionally, the Northnada Opening, a unique event occurring once a year, along with the twelve days of Para Ezhunnellathu, the twelve days of Thirunal Utsav, and the annual Pongala associated with Thiru Utsavam, provide devotees with opportunities for self-salvation. At the Tripanayam Devi Temple, which boasts a history of nearly a thousand years, ancient rituals are meticulously revived. The Northnada Opening is a distinguished ceremony that takes place only once a year at the Trippanayam Devi Temple, recognized as one of the premier Bhadrakali temples in South Kerala, celebrated for its spiritual potency and auspicious traditions. The celebrations commence with the Tottampattu festival, which takes place in front of the temple from the 1st to the 30th of Vrischikam.
The goddess's sword is brought outside at the onset of the Tottampattu, and following the thirty-day festival, the goddess's Shakti spirit is believed to intensify, during which she prepares for the Guruti ceremony. The annual celebration at the historic Thrippanayam Devi Temple is known as the Meenabharani Mahotsav. This event features not only special pujas and the annual Pongala but also a variety of artistic performances, the Chamayavilakku procession, Meenabharani Kettukazhcha, Nedumkuthirayeduppu, GajaSangamam, as well as Tableaus and Vadyamela Sangamam. The festival concludes with the Thiru-Arattu on the twelfth day. In addition to the installation of Sri Nagaraja Vigraha, which has been revered as the principal deity of the ancient Tripanayam Devi Temple, the installation of Sri Nagayakshi Vigraha has also taken place in recent years.
The Tripanayam Devi Temple is notable for housing both the Sri Nagaraja Nagayakshi Pratishtha in the Saiva tradition on the southern side and the Sri Nagaraja Nagayakshi Pratishtha in the Vaishnava tradition on the northern side, coexisting within the same sacred space alongside the Shakti Chaitanyas. Special rituals are conducted to invoke blessings for children, including Kalamezhuthum Pattum, as well as Shani, Rahu, and Nagarchana ceremonies.
Additionally, Rahurdosha shanthipuja is performed for protection against malevolent forces, while Sarpasuktarchana is aimed at ensuring family prosperity. Other rituals such as Kalashapooja and Nurum Palum are conducted for the healing of snake-related afflictions. The Navratri festival and Vidyarambham hold significant importance at the temple. On the day of Navratri, Sarvaishwarya Puja and Vidyagopalarchana are carried out with elaborate rituals.

തൃപ്പനയം ദേവിക്ഷേത്രം, കൊല്ലം പട്ടണത്തിന് സമീപം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു അതിപുരാതന ക്ഷേത്രമാണ്. ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം ശ്രീ ഭദ്രകാളി ദേവിക്കായി സമർപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തുനിന്നും കൊല്ലം ബൈപ്പാസിലൂടെ കല്ലുംതാഴ്‌ക്കുമാറും, കൊല്ലം നഗരത്തിൽ നിന്നും കൊല്ലം അഞ്ചാലും മൂട് കുണ്ടറ റോഡിലൂടെ താന്നിക്കമുക്ക് വഴി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെത്താം. തൃപ്പനയത്തമ്മയുടെ ശക്തി അനുഭവിച്ച നിരവധി ഭക്തർ, അമ്മയെ ദർശിക്കാൻ ക്ഷേത്ര സന്നിധിയിൽ എത്തുന്നു. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചാൽ, മനസ്സിലുള്ള ആഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ സാധ്യമാകുമെന്ന് നിരവധി ഭക്തർ ഉറപ്പിക്കുന്നു. കാലപ്പഴക്കം മൂലം ദുർബലമായ അവസ്ഥയിലായിരുന്ന തൃപ്പനയം ദേവീ ക്ഷേത്രം, അടുത്ത കാലത്ത് ദേവിയുടെ അനുഗ്രഹത്താൽ, ഭക്തജനങ്ങളുടെയും ക്ഷേത്രപരിപാലകരുടെയും, ക്ഷേത്രക്ഷേമ സമിതിയുടെയും അദ്ഭുതമായ സഹായത്തോടെ, പ്രൗഢഗാംഭീര്യത്തോടുകൂടി കേരളവാസ്തുശില്പത്തിന്റെ സൌന്ദര്യത്തോടെ മൂന്നു നിലകളായി പുനർനിർമ്മിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
താന്ത്രിക രീതിയിൽ നടത്തുന്ന പൂജകളുടെയും നിരന്തരമായ മന്ത്രോച്ചാരണത്തിന്റെയും സഹായത്തോടെ ചൈതന്യവത്തായിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ദേവീ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ 9 ദിവസത്തെ നവരാത്രി മഹോത്സവം, വിദ്യാരംഭം, വൃശ്ചികം 1 മുതൽ 30 ദിവസത്തെ തോറ്റംപാട്ടും ഗുരുതിയും, വർഷത്തിൽ ഒരിക്കൽ മാത്രം വടക്കേനട തുറപ്പ്, 12 ദിവസത്തെ പറ എഴുന്നെള്ളത്ത്, 12 ദിവസത്തെ തിരുനാൾ ഉത്സവം, തിരുഉത്സവത്തോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് വാർഷിക പൊങ്കാല എന്നിവ ഭക്തജനങ്ങൾക്ക് ആത്മസായൂജ്യമരുളുന്നു. ശ്രീ നാഗരാജ വിഗ്രഹത്തിന്റെ പ്രതിഷ്‌ഠയോടൊപ്പം, അതിപുരാതനമായ തൃപ്പനയം ദേവീക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ശ്രീ നാഗയക്ഷി വിഗ്രഹത്തിന്റെ പ്രതിഷ്‌ഠയും ഈ അടുത്തകാലത്ത് നടന്നു.
തെക്കേ ഭാഗത്ത് ശൈവഭാവമുള്ള ശ്രീ നാഗരാജ-നാഗയക്ഷി പ്രതിഷ്‌ഠയും വടക്കേ ഭാഗത്ത് വൈഷ്ണവ ഭാവമുള്ള ശ്രീ നാഗരാജാ-നാഗയക്ഷി പ്രതിഷ്‌ഠയും ഒരേ ആലയത്തിൽ ശക്തി ചൈതന്യങ്ങളോടുകൂടി നിലനിൽക്കുന്ന അപൂർവ്വ ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിലൊന്നാണ് തൃപ്പനയം ദേവീ ക്ഷേത്രം.
സന്താനഭാഗ്യത്തിനായി കളമെഴുത്തും പാട്ടും, ശനി, രാഹു, ദോഷനിവാരണത്തിനായി നാഗാർച്ചന, രാഹുർദോഷശാന്തിപൂജ, കുടുംബ ഐശ്വര്യത്തിനായി സർപ്പസൂക്താർച്ചന, സർപ്പ ദോഷപരിഹാരങ്ങൾക്കായി കലശപൂജ, നൂറും പാലും എന്നിങ്ങനെ വിവിധ പ്രത്യേക പൂജകളും നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു.നവരാത്രി മഹോത്സവവും വിദ്യാരംഭവും ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ട ചടങ്ങുകളാണ്. നവരാത്രി ദിനത്തിൽ സർവ്വൈശ്വര്യ പൂജയും, വിദ്യാഗോപാലാർച്ചനയും ആചാരാനുസൃതമായി നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു.
