Valiya Koonambaikulam Temple is a Hindu place of worship situated in Koonambaikulam, close to Vadakkevila in the Kollam district.
This temple, one of the oldest in Kerala, is dedicated to Bhadrakali. It is managed by the Valiya Koonambaikulam Sree Bhadrakali Kshetra Trust, which also operates an engineering institution known as Valia Koonambaikulathamma College of Engineering and Technology (VKCET) located in Parippally, within the Kollam district. Daily worship services at the temple commence at 04:00 and conclude at 21:00 local time. A significant annual celebration at the temple is the 'Kumbha Bharani Maholsavam,' which takes place during the Bharani Nakshatra of Kumbham, corresponding to February or March in the Kollam calendar. Each year, thousands of women participate in the Chandra Pongal ritual associated with this festival.

കേരളത്തിലെ പ്രശസ്തമായ ഭദ്രകാളി ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നാണ് വടക്കേവിളയിലെ വലിയ കൂനമ്പായിക്കുളം ശ്രീ ഭദ്രകാളി ക്ഷേത്രം. മലയാളത്തിന്റെ പുരാതന ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയിലെ പള്ളിമുക്കിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു. ഭദ്രകാളിക്ക് സമർപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം 'കൂനമ്പായിക്കുളത്തമ്മ' എന്ന പേരിൽ അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു, അതായത് കൂനമ്പായിക്കുളത്തിന്റെ മാതാവ്.
വലിയ കൂനമ്പായിക്കുളം ശ്രീ ഭദ്രകാളി ക്ഷേത്രം ട്രസ്റ്റിന്റെ നിയന്ത്രണത്തിലാണ്. കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയിലെ പരിപ്പള്ളിയിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന വലിയ കൂനമ്പായിക്കുളത്തമ്മ കോളേജ് ഓഫ് എഞ്ചിനീയറിംഗ് ആൻഡ് ടെക്നോളജി (വി.കെ.സി.ഇ.ടി) എന്ന എഞ്ചിനീയറിംഗ് കോളേജ് ഈ ട്രസ്റ്റിന് കീഴിലാണ്. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ ദൈനംദിന ആരാധന 04:00 മണിക്ക് ആരംഭിച്ച് പ്രാദേശിക സമയം 21:00 മണിക്ക് അവസാനിക്കും. കൊല്ലം കാലഘട്ടത്തിലെ ഫെബ്രുവരി അല്ലെങ്കിൽ മാർച്ചിനോടനുബന്ധിച്ചുള്ള കുംഭ മാസത്തിലെ ഭരണി നക്ഷത്രത്തിൽ നടക്കുന്ന 'കുംഭ ഭാരണി മഹോൽസവം' ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന ഉത്സവങ്ങളിലൊന്നാണ്. ഈ ഉത്സവത്തോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് എല്ലാ വർഷവും സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ചന്ദ്ര പൊങ്കൽ ആചാരത്തിൽ ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് സ്ത്രീകൾ പങ്കാളികളാകുന്നു.
