Vendar Devi Temple, Vendar is a village that falls under the jurisdiction of Kulakada Panchayath, located in the Kottarkara taluk of the Kollam district. This village is home to a temple dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali.
The Bhagavata Saptaham, Akhandanama Japa, and the reading of the Ramayanam are significant practices observed during the Karkitaka month. Additionally, rituals such as Ganapati Homam, Bhagavati Seva, and the celebration of Vinayaka Chaturthi, along with Mahaganapati Homam, are performed. The festival features various cultural activities, including Kuthirayeduppu, Kuthiyottam, traditional dances, musical performances, ezhunnallathu, thalapoli, Vilakkezhunnallippu, Kettukazhcha, and fireworks, all of which contribute to its vibrant appeal.
