Sree Durga Devi Temple, situated at Paravur in the Kollam district of Kerala, is dedicated to the worship of Goddess Durga.
The annual festival at the temple takes place on the day of Karthika nakshatra during the month of Makaram. This festival is renowned for its melam, traditional temple art forms, as well as the various pujas and rituals associated with the Bhagavathy temple. The temple grounds feature trees linked to janma nakshatra, or birth stars. Additionally, the temple observes several significant days, including Mahashivaratri, Kartika Mahotsavam, and Bhagavata Saptaha Parayanam in the month of Kumbham. The Samooha Neeranjanam is celebrated at Shasta Temple on the second Saturday of each Malayalam month, while Karukamala Charthal is dedicated to Lord Ganesha. Guruthi Puja is conducted at Bhadrakali Moorthithara on the first Tuesday of every Malayalam month, and the Navaratri Pujas are held for ten days during the month of Thulam.
വിളയിൽ കുന്നത്ത് ശ്രീ ദുർഗ്ഗാദേവി ക്ഷേത്രം
പരവൂർ കൊങ്ങാൽ വിളയിൽ കുന്നത്തു സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന ശ്രീ ദുർഗാദേവി ക്ഷേത്രം കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയിൽ ആണ്. പരവൂരിൽ നിന്നും 3 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെയാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം. ദുർഗ്ഗാദേവിക്ക് സമർപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം ചതുരാകൃതിയിലുള്ള ഒരു ചെറിയ ശ്രീകോവിലാണ്. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ഉപദേവതകളും കൊടിമരവും കാണപ്പെടുന്നു. ശിവൻ, ഗണപതി, ശാസ്താവ്, നാഗദൈവങ്ങൾ എന്നിവയെ ഉപദേവന്മാരായി ആരാധിക്കുന്നു. വാർഷിക ഉത്സവം, മേളകൾ, പരമ്പരാഗത ക്ഷേത്ര കലാരൂപങ്ങൾ, ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട പൂജകൾ എന്നിവയ്ക്ക് പ്രശസ്തമാണ്. ജന്മനക്ഷത്രവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട വൃക്ഷങ്ങൾ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ സൂക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
മകരമാസത്തിലെ കാർത്തിക നക്ഷത്ര ദിനത്തിലാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ വാർഷിക ഉത്സവം നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നത്. കുംഭമാസത്തിലെ മഹാശിവരാത്രി, കാർത്തിക മഹോത്സവം, ഭാഗവത സപ്താഹ പാരായണം, എല്ലാ മലയാള മാസങ്ങളിലും രണ്ടാം ശനിയാഴ്ച ശാസ്താ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ നടക്കുന്ന സമൂഹ നീരാജ്ഞനം, ഗണപതിക്ക് കറുകമാല ചാർത്തൽ, എല്ലാ മലയാള മാസങ്ങളിൽ ആദ്യത്തെ ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച ഭദ്രകാളി മൂർത്തിത്തറയിൽ നടത്തുന്ന ഗുരുതി പൂജ, തുലാമാസത്തിൽ പത്ത് ദിവസം നീണ്ടുനിൽക്കുന്ന നവരാത്രി പൂജകൾ എന്നിവയാണ് ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ മറ്റ് പ്രധാന ദിവസങ്ങൾ.
