Ambalakadavu Bhagavathi temple is situated in Karapuzha, within the Kottayam district of Kerala. The presiding deity of the temple is regarded as one of the Saptamatrikas.
The deity is oriented towards the west. The Upa Devatas honored within the temple include Ganapathy, Shiva, Nagam, and Vishnu Bhagavan. The temple hosts an annual festival lasting eight days, culminating on Vishu day with an arattu ceremony.
Additionally, the annual pongala festival takes place during the month of Makaram. The maintenance of the temple is overseen by NSS Karayogam. On Karthuvavu day, which falls in the month of Karkidakam, a special Guruthi is conducted at the northern nada of the temple.
അമ്പലക്കടവ് ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം
കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ കാരാപ്പുഴയിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന അമ്പലക്കടവ് ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം, സപ്തമാതൃക്കളിൽ ഒന്നായ പ്രതിഷ്ഠയുള്ള ഒരു ക്ഷേത്രമാണ്. ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠ പടിഞ്ഞാറോട്ട് ദർശനമായാണ്. ഗണപതി, ശിവൻ, നാഗം, വിഷ്ണുഭഗവാൻ എന്നിവയാണ് ഇവിടെ ആരാധിക്കുന്ന ഉപദേവതകൾ. ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന് നൂറ്റാണ്ടുകളുടെ ചരിത്രമുണ്ടെന്ന് വിശ്വസിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
അമ്പലക്കടവ് ഭഗവതി ദർശനം കഴിഞ്ഞാൽ ഭക്തർ ആധിയും വ്യാധിയും മാറുമെന്ന ഉറച്ച വിശ്വാസത്തിലാണ്. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ 8 ദിവസത്തെ വാർഷിക ഉത്സവം വിഷു നാളിൽ ആറാട്ടോടെ സമാപിക്കുന്നു. മകരമാസത്തിൽ വാർഷിക പൊങ്കാല മഹോത്സവം നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു. സ്വയംവര പുഷ്പാഞ്ജലി പൂജ ചെയ്താൽ, ദീർഘകാലമായി മുടങ്ങിക്കിടക്കുന്ന വിവാഹം ഉടൻ നടക്കുമെന്ന വിശ്വാസം ഉണ്ട്.
വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ രംഗത്ത് ഉന്നതിയേറിയും രോഗശമനത്തിനും സന്താനസൗഭാഗ്യത്തിനും വേണ്ടി നിരവധി ഭക്തർ ഭഗവതിയുടെ അനുഗ്രഹം തേടി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ എത്തുന്നു. നിലവിൽ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ പരിപാലനം എൻഎസ്എസ് കരയോഗം നടത്തുന്നു. കർക്കിടകമാസത്തിലെ കറുത്തുവാവ് നാളിൽ, ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ വടക്കേ നടയിൽ പ്രത്യേകമായ ഗുരുതി നടത്തപ്പെടും.
