Anicad Sree Bhagavathi Temple is a prominent Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Bhadrakali, situated in Anicad, Kottayam, Kerala.
Meena Bharani, celebrated on the day of the Bharani nakshatra during Meena Masam (March – April), is the most significant festival at the temple. The deity worshipped here is Goddess Bhadrakali, who is revered in her youthful form as Bala Badrakali.
The idol is positioned as a mirror image facing east. Additionally, the temple houses sub-deities including Shiva, Muruga, Ganapathy, and Sasthavu. This shrine is situated on a hill and is renowned for the Garudan Thookkam and Pathamudayam festivals. Annual festival features Melam, a vibrant display of traditional art forms from Kerala, highlighted by a grand procession and various pujas and rituals, all taking place atop a beautifully adorned elephant.
Navratri, along with the observances of Ashtami, Navami, and Vidyarambham, forms an integral part of this celebration. Additionally, the temple commemorates the Thrikarthika festival. Daily rituals include three poojas, with 'Kalamezhuthupaattu' being the principal festival, commencing from Avittam to Aswathy in the Malayalam month of Meenam.
ആനിക്കാട് ശ്രീ ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം
കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിൽ പള്ളിക്കത്തോടിന് സമീപമുള്ള പുലിയന്നൂർ റോഡിൽ ആനിക്കാട് - വാഴൂർ എന്ന സ്ഥലത്ത് പുരാതന ആനിക്കാട് ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു. ദേവിക്കായി സമർപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം മീന ഭരണി ഉത്സവത്തിന്റെ പ്രധാന കേന്ദ്രമാണ്. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ആരാധിക്കുന്ന ദേവിയുടെ സങ്കൽപം ഭദ്രകാളി ദേവിയുടേതാണ്, ഇവിടെ ഭദ്രകാളി ബാല ഭദ്രകാളിയായി പ്രതിഷ്ഠിതമാകുന്നു.
കാളി ദേവിയുടെ ബാലരൂപമാണ് ബാല ഭദ്രകാളി, കണ്ണാടി ബിംബമാണ് (ബാലഭദ്ര എന്ന് വിശ്വാസം). പ്രതിഷ്ഠ കിഴക്കോട്ട് അഭിമുഖമായി സ്ഥാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ശിവൻ, മുരുകൻ, ഗണപതി, ശാസ്താവ് എന്നിവരാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ ഉപദേവതകൾ. ശ്രീകോവിൽ ഒരു കുന്നിന്റെ മുകളിലാണ് സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്. മേളം, ആനപ്പുറത്ത് എഴുന്നള്ളത്ത്, കേരളത്തിലെ പ്രത്യേക കലാരൂപങ്ങൾ നിറഞ്ഞ ഘോഷയാത്ര, പൂജകൾ, അനുഷ്ഠാനങ്ങൾ എന്നിവ വാർഷിക ഉത്സവത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമാണ്.
അഷ്ടമി, നവമി, വിദ്യാരംഭം എന്നിവയോടൊപ്പം നവരാത്രിയും ഈ ഉത്സവത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമാണ്. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ തൃക്കാർത്തിക ഉത്സവം അതീവ ഭംഗിയായി ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നു. ദിവസേന മൂന്ന് പൂജകൾ നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു. മലയാളമാസമായ മീനിലെ അവിട്ടം മുതൽ അശ്വതി വരെയുള്ള കാലയളവിൽ ക്ഷേത്രോത്സവം 'കളമെഴുത്തുപാട്ട്' എന്ന പ്രത്യേകതയോടെയാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ മറ്റൊരു പ്രധാന ആകർഷണം.
