Kunnel Kshetram is located in the village of Cheruvalli, near Ponkunnam in Kottayam district.
The principal deities enshrined are Shri Dharma Shastha and Shree Bhavaneshwari. Additionally, there are subsidiary deities such as Ganapati, Kudumbanathan, Yakshi, Rakshas, Nagaraaja, Nagayakshi, Karinaaga, and Kuzhinaaga.
The temple is opened on the first day of every Malayalam month and on the days surrounding it. Additionally, special occasions such as Navaratri, Mandala season, Vinayaka Chaturthi, and Onam. The Ayilyam festival in the month of Kumbham is celebrated with great significance every year.

കുന്നേൽ ക്ഷേത്രം, ചെറുവള്ളി
കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിൽ പൊൻകുന്നത്തിനു സമീപമുള്ള ചെറുവള്ളി ഗ്രാമത്തിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന ക്ഷേത്രമാണ് കുന്നേൽ ക്ഷേത്രം. കേരളത്തിലെ പ്രശസ്തമായ സർപ്പസങ്കേതങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നായ ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം, ശ്രീധർമ്മശാസ്താവും ശീഭുവനേശ്വരിയുമാണ് പ്രധാന പ്രതിഷ്ഠകൾ. ഗണപതി, കുടുംബനാഥൻ, യക്ഷി, രക്ഷസ്സ് തുടങ്ങിയ ഉപദേവതകളും ഇവിടെ ആരാധിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിനടുത്തുള്ള കാവിൽ നാഗദേവതകൾ വാസമുണ്ട്, കൂടാതെ നാഗരാജാവ്, നാഗയക്ഷി, കരിനാഗം, കുഴിനാഗം എന്നിവയുടെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠകളും ചിത്രകൂടവും കാവിൽ കാണാം.
എല്ലാ മലയാള മാസങ്ങളിലും ഒന്നാം തീയതിയും അതിനടുത്ത ദിവസങ്ങളിലും നടതുറക്കുന്നത് നടക്കുന്നു. നവരാത്രി, മണ്ഡലകാലം, വിനായക ചതുർത്ഥി, ഓണം തുടങ്ങിയ പ്രത്യേക ദിവസങ്ങളിലും ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ നടതുറപ്പ് ഉണ്ടാകുന്നു. കുന്നേൽ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന ആഘോഷ ദിവസങ്ങൾ: മണ്ഡല മഹോത്സവം, മകരവിളക്ക്, വാർഷികോത്സവത്തിനോടൊപ്പം നടത്തപ്പെടുന്ന വലിയ ഗുരുതി.
