Manarcad Sri Bhagavathy Temple is situated approximately 8 kilometers from the town of Kottayam, along the route leading to the tourist destination of Thekkady.
Manarcad Perunnal and Devi Temple Festival is renowned for its annual celebrations, typically taking place in September and November, drawing a significant number of visitors to the Kottayam area. The principal festival of the temple is celebrated on the first day of Vrischika Masam, followed by a series of events including 52 Kalam Pattu, desha kuruti, pattu kalam, and kudal mahotsavam.
Additionally, the temple observes two other festivals, Meena Bharani and Pathamudayam. During these occasions, various activities such as Kumbha Kuda Ghosha Yatra, Kalamkariykkal, Thookam, and Garudan Thookkam are conducted. The Upa Devatas honored at the temple include Subrahmanian, Nagaraja, Sastha, Ganapathi, and Rakshas.

ഈ പരിപാടിയുടെ സമാപനത്തിൽ പാട്ടുകാലം കൂടിച്ചേരുന്ന മഹോത്സവവും ദശഗുരുതിയും ഊരുവലത്തെഴുന്നള്ളത്തും ദേശത്ത് നടക്കുന്നു.
