Manganam Sree Narasimha Swamy Temple is situated in Muttambalam, within the Manganam area of the Kottayam district in Kerala. The principal deity revered at this temple is Narasimha.
The deity is affectionately referred to as Manganathappan. The principal prathishta vigraham, or murti, depicts Chathur Bahu Vishnu (Bhagavan Vishnu with four arms) oriented towards the west. The sankalpam of this murti embodies Narasimha, who was gratified by the unmatched devotion of the young Prahlada.
It is believed that Narasimha is present, attentively listening to the praises sung by the young devotee Prahlada. Narasimha manifests here in a gentle and benevolent form. The temple features an inscription on the sreekovil that dates to the 11th century CE. This inscription references the reconstruction of the sreekovil utilizing granite. Consequently, it is thought that the temple may have originated in the 8th or 9th century CE.
The temple features a vatta sreekovil, accompanied by a kodimaram, vilakku, chuttambalam, and shrines dedicated to Upa Devatas.
This shrine is renowned for its exquisite mural paintings and intricate sculptures. Additionally, it boasts a picturesque pond.
The primary offerings at the temple include Panakam and Charakkil Ada.
The temple's annual festival takes place during the month of Makaram (January – February).
The prathishta dinam is also celebrated in the month of Makaram.
An important festival at the temple is the annual Narasimha Jayanti, which occurs on the shukla paksha chaturdashi day in Vaishaka Masam.

ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം ഒരു മഹാക്ഷേത്രത്തിനായി ആവശ്യമായ എല്ലാ ഗുണങ്ങളും സമൃദ്ധമായി ഉൾക്കൊള്ളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. വട്ടാകൃതിയിലുള്ള മനോഹരമായ ശ്രീകോവിൽ, സോപാനം പിച്ചള കൊണ്ട് അലങ്കരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ചെറിയ വലിപ്പമുള്ള, എന്നാൽ അത്യന്തം ആകർഷകമായ നമസ്കാര മണ്ഡപം, ചുറ്റമ്പലം, ബലിക്കൽപുര, താരതമ്യേന വലിയ ആനക്കൊട്ടിൽ, അതിനോടൊപ്പം മനോഹരമായ മുഖപ്പ്, കിഴക്കുവശത്ത് മാളികയോടുകൂടിയ ഗോപുരം, വടക്കുവശത്ത് ഊട്ടുപുര, പരമ്പരാഗത രൂപത്തിലുള്ള ചുറ്റുമതിൽ, ഓഫീസ് മുറി, സ്റ്റോർ, കിഴക്കു വടക്കുമാറി വിസ്താരമുള്ള കുളം, ചുറ്റുമതിലിനു പുറത്തു പടിഞ്ഞാറുവശത്ത് പുതുക്കിപ്പണിഞ്ഞ മറ്റൊരു വലിയ ആനക്കൊട്ടിൽ; ഈ എല്ലാ ഘടകങ്ങളും ഒരു മഹാക്ഷേത്രത്തിനായി സമന്വയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
ശ്രീകോവിലിന്റെയും, മണ്ഡപത്തിൻറെയും മേൽക്കൂരകൾ ചെമ്പ് കൊണ്ട് അലങ്കരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. പടിഞ്ഞാറ് ദിശയിലേക്കുള്ള പ്രധാന പ്രതിഷ്ഠ വിഗ്രഹം ചതുർബാഹുവായ വിഷ്ണുവാണ്. ശ്രീ നരസിംഹ സ്വാമിയുടെ സങ്കല്പത്തിൽ ഇവിടെ ആരാധന നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു. ശ്രീ നരസിംഹ മൂർത്തി അധർമ്മത്തെ എതിർക്കുന്ന, അത്യന്തം കോപമുള്ള ദേവനാണെങ്കിലും, പ്രഹ്ളാദസ്തുതിയിൽ കോപം ശമിച്ച്, ഭക്തർക്ക് സന്തോഷത്തോടെ അനുഗ്രഹം നൽകുന്ന സങ്കല്പത്തിലാണുള്ളത്. ശ്രീ മഹാദേവൻ, വിഘ്നേശ്വരനായ ശ്രീമഹാഗണപതി, ശ്രീ ശാസ്താവ് എന്നിവരെ ചുറ്റുമതിൽക്കുള്ളിൽ തെക്ക് വശത്തായി കിഴക്കുദർശനമായി പ്രത്യേകമായി സ്ഥാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ശ്രീകോവിലിൽ ഒരുമിച്ചു പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇതിന് സമീപം നാഗരാജസങ്കേതവും സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു.
