Narimattom Bhagavathy Temple is situated in Narimattom, within the Thiruvanchoor region of the Kottayam district in Kerala.
The temple is consecrated to Goddess Bhagavathy, also known as Devi. An annual festival lasting eight days takes place at the temple during Meena Masam, which corresponds to March and April.
The bimbham of Bhagavathy is venerated within a chathura sreekovil. The temple features a kodimaram (flagpole), chuttambalam, namaskara mandapam, and shrines dedicated to various upa devatas.
The yearly festival is conducted in accordance with tantric rituals, featuring special homams, pujas, and abhishekam throughout the duration. This celebration is renowned for its caparisoned elephants, processions, and the traditional performing arts of Kerala associated with the temple.
The festival concludes with the arattu ceremony on the day of Uthram nakshatra.
Navratri and Thrikarthika are also significant events at the shrine. Additionally, the annual Pongala festival takes place on the day of Pooram nakshatra in the month of Meenam.
നരിമറ്റം ദേവീ ക്ഷേത്രം
കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ അയർകുന്നത്ത് നിന്ന് 3.4 കിലോമീറ്റർ, കുമാരനെല്ലൂരിൽ നിന്ന് 1.3 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെയുള്ള സ്ഥലത്ത് സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന പുരാതന ക്ഷേത്രമാണ് നരിമറ്റം ദേവീ ക്ഷേത്രം. മീന മാസത്തിൽ (മാർച്ച് - ഏപ്രിൽ) നടക്കുന്ന 8-ദിവസത്തെ വാർഷിക ഉത്സവം ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ഒരു കൊടിമരം, ചുട്ടമ്പലം, നമസ്കാര മന്ദിരം, ഉപദേവതകളുടെ ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങൾ എന്നിവയുണ്ട്.
വാർഷിക ഉത്സവം തന്ത്രിക ചടങ്ങുകൾ അനുസരിച്ച് നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു. ഈ കാലയളവിൽ പ്രത്യേക ഹോമങ്ങൾ, പൂജകൾ, അഭിഷേകം എന്നിവ നടക്കുന്നു. നവരാത്രി, തൃക്കാര്‍ത്തിക ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ മറ്റ് രണ്ട് പ്രധാന ആഘോഷങ്ങളാണ്.വാർഷിക പൊങ്കാല ഉത്സവം മീനമാസത്തിലെ പൂരം നക്ഷത്ര ദിനത്തിൽ ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നു.
