Puthumana Ganapati Temple is a historic site situated 6 kilometers from Changanassery and 1.5 kilometers from Thuruthi in the Kottayam district.
The standing idol of Lord Ganesha is housed within this temple. Typically, Ganesha is depicted in a seated posture. The Puthumana Temple features 21 distinct representations of Ganesha deities. At the ancient Puthumana Sri Mahaganapati Devasthanam, devotees honor these 21 forms of Ganesha.
However, only three of these significant idols are visible to the worshippers. Annually, on the occasion of Vinayaka Chaturthi, these idols are collectively venerated in the temple sanctum during the noon puja.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിൽ ചങ്ങനാശ്ശേരിയിൽ നിന്നും 6 കിലോമീറ്റർ, തുരുത്തിയിൽ നിന്നും 1.5 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെയായി സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന പുരാതന ക്ഷേത്രമാണ് പുതുമന ഗണപതി ക്ഷേത്രം. തുരുത്തി പുതുമന ഗ്രാമത്തിലെ ഉപാസനാമൂർത്തിയായ ഗണപതിയുടെ ക്ഷേത്രമാണിത്. ഇവിടെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഗണപതി വിഗ്രഹം അതിന്റെ അപൂർവ്വമായ പ്രത്യേകതയാണ്. സാധാരണയായി, നമ്മുടെ ചുറ്റുപാടിലുള്ള എല്ലാ ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിലും കാണപ്പെടുന്ന ഗണപതിയോടു താരതമ്യപ്പെടുത്തുമ്പോൾ, ഇവിടെ ഉള്ള വിഗ്രഹം വ്യത്യസ്തമാണ്.

21 ഗണേശ ഭാവങ്ങളുള്ള പുതുമന ക്ഷേത്രം പൗരാണികമായ പുതുമന ശ്രീ മഹാഗണപതി ദേവസ്ഥാനത്ത് 21 ഭാവങ്ങളിലുള്ള ഗണേശ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ ആരാധന ചെയ്യപ്പെടുന്നു. ഇവയിൽ പ്രധാനമായ മൂന്നു വിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ മാത്രമാണ് ഭക്തർക്ക് ദർശനത്തിന് ലഭ്യമാകുന്നത്. ഈ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ, വർഷത്തിൽ ഒരിക്കൽ വിനായകചതുർത്ഥി ദിനത്തിൽ ഉച്ചപൂജയ്ക്കായി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ ശ്രീകോവിലിൽ ഒന്നിച്ച് പൂജിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന സമയത്താണ് ഭക്തർക്ക് കാണാൻ സാധിക്കുന്നത്.
