Kollam Sree Pisharikavu is a renowned temple located in Koyilandy, Kozhikode.
It is under the administration of the Malabar Devaswom Board. The temple gets its name “Kollam Pisharikavu” because the deity was ceremonially brought from the southern district of Kollam, and the name serves to preserve that ancient memory.

Annual festival here is popularly known as Kaliyattam. The Kaliyattam Kurikkal (ritual marking the beginning of the festival) is held on the tenth day of the Malayalam month of Kumbham (February–March), typically on a flag-hoisting day that falls on a Sunday, Tuesday, or Friday.
The main Kaliyattam festival is conducted during the month of Meenam (March–April).
Kaliyattam Kurikkal ceremony is performed by the head of the Pottammal family, a Namboothiri lineage based in Chemancheri. While the festival is always held in the month of Meenam, there is no fixed date; it is decided each year. On the tenth day of Kumbham, or the next closest flag-hoisting day, a divination ritual (prasnam) is conducted at the ancestral thara (platform) of the temple founders, in the presence of the temple trustees (Ooralars), to determine the date of the festival.
However, the Kaliyattam Muhurtham (auspicious time for the festival) is not immediately announced. It is only revealed later that night when the temple is opened after the Athazhapuja (night pooja), by a member of the Sharadi family, who calls out the festival date aloud for all to hear.

കോഴിക്കോട് കൊയിലാണ്ടിയിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന പ്രശസ്ത ക്ഷേത്രമാണ് കൊല്ലം ശ്രീ പിഷാരികാവ്. മലബാർ ദേവസ്വം ബോർഡിന്റെ കീഴിലായിട്ടാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നത്. തെക്കൻ ജില്ലയായ കൊല്ലത്തുനിന്ന് ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ ദേവിയെ ആവാഹിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുവന്നതിന്റെ സ്മരണയ്ക്കായാണ് "കൊല്ലം പിഷാരികാവ്" എന്ന പേരിന് രൂപം കിട്ടിയത്. നൂറ്റാണ്ടുകൾ പഴക്കമുള്ള ആരാധനാലയമാണിത്.
ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന ഉത്സവം "കാളിയാട്ടം" എന്ന പേരിലാണ് അറിയപ്പെടുന്നത്. കുംഭമാസത്തിലെ പത്താം തീയതി, അതായത് കൊടിയാഴ്ചയായാൽ ഞായർ, ചൊവ്വ, അല്ലെങ്കിൽ വെള്ളിയാഴ്ചകളിൽ, കാളിയാട്ടം കുറിക്കൽ ചടങ്ങ് ആചരിക്കുന്നു. കാളിയാട്ട ഉത്സവം പൊതുവായി മീനമാസത്തിലാണ് നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നത്. കാളിയാട്ട കുറിക്കൽ ചടങ്ങ്, ചേമഞ്ചേരിയിലെ പൊറ്റമ്മൽ കുടുംബത്തിലെ കാരണവരായ നമ്പീശൻ നിർവഹിക്കുന്നു.
ഉത്സവം നിർബന്ധമായും മീനമാസത്തിലാണ് നടത്തേണ്ടത് കുംഭം പത്തിനോ അതിനു അടുത്തുള്ള കൊടിയാഴ്ച ദിനത്തിലോ രാവിലെ ക്ഷേത്രസ്ഥാപകരായ കാരണവന്മാരുടെ തറയിൽ, ഊരാളന്മാരുടെ സാന്നിധ്യത്തിൽ പ്രശ്നം വെച്ച് കാളിയാട്ടത്തിന്റെ തീയതി തീരുമാനിക്കുന്നു.
എന്നിരുന്നാലും, അതേദിവസം തന്നെ കാളിയാട്ടമുഹൂർത്തം ഔദ്യോഗികമായി പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കാറില്ല. അത്താഴപൂജക്ക് ശേഷം നട തുറക്കുന്ന സമയത്താണ് ഷാരടി കുടുംബത്തിലെ അംഗം കാളിയാട്ടമുഹൂർത്തം ജനങ്ങളോട് ഉച്ചത്തിൽ വിളിച്ചറിയിക്കുന്നത്.
