This temple is located on the serene banks of the Naranathu River, is a rare and spiritually significant temple dedicated to Lord Shatrughna, the youngest brother of Lord Rama in the Ramayana. This temple holds a special place as one of the very few temples in India solely dedicated to Lord Shatrughna, making it an important destination for devotees of the Ramayana tradition.
The temple is an integral part of the sacred Nalambalam Darshanam, a traditional pilgrimage in Kerala where devotees visit the temples of Sri Rama, Sri Bharata, Sri Lakshmana, and Sri Shatrughna in a single day.

നാറാണത്ത് ശത്രുഘ്ന ക്ഷേത്രം
നാറാണത്ത് ശത്രുഘ്നസ്വാമി ക്ഷേത്രം മലപ്പുറം ജില്ലയിലെ നാറാണത്ത് എന്ന സ്ഥലത്ത്, നാറാണത്ത് പുഴയുടെ തീരത്താണ് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ശ്രീരാമന്റെ സഹോദരനായ ശത്രുഘ്നനെ പ്രധാന ദൈവമായി ആരാധിക്കുന്ന ഇന്ത്യയിലെ അപൂർവ ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നാണിത്.ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം നാലമ്പല ദർശനത്തിൽ ഒരുഭാഗമാണ്. ശ്രീരാമൻ, ശ്രീഭരതൻ, ശ്രീലക്ഷ്മണൻ, ശത്രുഘ്നൻ എന്നിവരുടെ ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങൾ ഒരേ ദിവസത്തിൽ സന്ദർശിക്കുന്നതിലൂടെ ഈ തീർത്ഥാടനം പൂർത്തിയാക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
