Gosala Sree Krishna Temple is one of the most renowned Krishna temples in Akathethara, Palakkad, Kerala.
This centuries-old temple was originally managed by the Kuttipulikallidam family, who were also responsible for the consecration of the Balagopala (child form of Krishna) idol.
In 2005, the management of the temple and its associated affairs was handed over to the "Sreekrishna Seva Trust," under which the temple is now administered.
According to the Devaprasnam (astrological consultation), it was revealed that separate Sreekovils (sanctum sanctorums) for the main deity, Lord Krishna, and the sub-deities would be auspicious and bring prosperity to the land.
The temple’s Tantri (chief priest) is Brahmashri Paravoor Narayanan Namboothiri.
The temple is located near the NSS Engineering College in Akathethara, Palakkad district. It can be easily reached by getting off at the Akathethara Panchayat Office bus stop on the Olavakkode–Malampuzha route.
ശ്രീ ഗോശാല ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണ ക്ഷേത്രം
പാലക്കാട് ജില്ലയിലെ അകത്തേത്തറയിലെ പ്രശസ്തമായ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണ ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിലൊന്നാണ് ഗോശാല ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണ ക്ഷേത്രം. നൂറ്റാണ്ടുകളോളം പഴക്കമുള്ള ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ ഭരണച്ചുമതല കുറ്റിപുലിക്കല്ലിടം തറവാട്ട് എന്ന പരമ്പരാഗത നയർ കുടുംബത്തിനായിരുന്നു. ഈ തറവാട്ടുകാരാണ് ബാലഗോപാലസ്വരൂപത്തിൽ ഉള്ള ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണ വിഗ്രഹം ഇവിടെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചത്.2005-ൽ ക്ഷേത്രം കൂടുതൽ ക്രമബദ്ധമായി പരിപാലിക്കാനും നവീകരിക്കാനും വേണ്ടി "ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണ സേവാ ട്രസ്റ്റ്" എന്ന ട്രസ്റ്റിന് ഭരണചുമതല കൈമാറുകയുണ്ടായി.
ഇന്ന് ക്ഷേത്രഭരണം അതിന് കീഴിലാണ് നടക്കുന്നത്.ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ നടന്ന ദേവപ്രശ്നം പ്രകാരം, പ്രധാന പ്രതിഷ്ഠയായ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണനും ഉപദേവന്മാർക്കും പ്രത്യേക ശ്രീകോവിലുകൾ ഉണ്ടാകേണ്ടതുണ്ട് എന്നതും, ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യുന്നത് നാട്ടിന്റെ ഐശ്വര്യ വർദ്ധനയ്ക്ക് വഴിയൊരുക്കും എന്നതുമാണ് ദൈവസൂചന.

ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണ ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത് അകത്തേത്തറയിലെ NSS എഞ്ചിനീയറിംഗ് കോളേജിന് സമീപമാണ്. ഒലവക്കോട് – മലമ്പുഴ ബസ് റൂട്ടിലുള്ള അകത്തേത്തറ പഞ്ചായത്ത് ഓഫീസ് ബസ് സ്റ്റോപ്പിൽ ഇറങ്ങിയാൽ ക്ഷേത്രം എളുപ്പത്തിൽ എത്തിച്ചേരാം.
