Karimpuzha Brahmaswaran Temple is a Shiva temple located in Karimpuzha village, about 25 kilometers from Palakkad town in Kerala.
This ancient temple had remained abandoned for a long period until 2001. It was then that the Chalappurat family, a Nair family with ancestral roots in Karimpuzha, came forward to make offerings to Lord Shiva at the temple.
The family undertook the task of renovating and rebuilding the temple, a process that took three years to complete. The renovation was led by B.G. Menon, a businessman from the Chalappurat family, along with renowned film actor Ravi Menon.
കരിമ്പുഴ ബ്രഹ്മീശ്വരൻ ക്ഷേത്രം
കേരളത്തിലെ പാലക്കാട് ജില്ലയിലെ ഒരു പുരാതന ശിവക്ഷേത്രമാണ് കരിമ്പുഴ ബ്രഹ്മീശ്വരൻ ക്ഷേത്രം. പാലക്കാട് പട്ടണത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ഏകദേശം 25 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെയുള്ള കരിമ്പുഴ ഗ്രാമത്തിലാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്. വളരെ നാളങ്ങളോളം ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച നിലയിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം 2001-ൽ പുതുജീവൻ നേടി. കരിമ്പുഴയിൽ തറവാടുള്ള ചാലപ്പുറത്ത് കുടുംബത്തിലെ അംഗങ്ങൾ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ പരമശിവന് വഴിപാടുമായി എത്തിയതോടെയാണ് പുനരുദ്ധാരണത്തിന് തുടക്കം കുറിച്ചത്.
ചാലപ്പുറത്ത് കുടുംബം മുന്നിട്ടിറങ്ങി ക്ഷേത്രം നവീകരിക്കുകയും പുനഃസ്ഥാപിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. മൂന്ന് വർഷംകൊണ്ടാണ് നവീകരണ പ്രവർത്തികൾ പൂർത്തിയായത്. ഈ മഹത്തായ യജ്ഞത്തിന് നേതൃത്വം നൽകിയത് ഈ കുടുംബത്തിലെ വ്യവസായിയായ ബി.ജി. മേനോനും പ്രശസ്ത സിനിമാ നടനുമായിരുന്ന യശസ്സായ രവി മേനോനും ആയിരുന്നു.
